Rio extravaganza !!!

What a treat!!! Every destination visited went according to schedule. Our tour included four sites, Sugar Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Lapa, bohemian district, and the Catedral in Rio. All sites were covered within the schedule from 12:00 to 6:00. Our tour guide and chauffeur were very professional and directed our group according to schedule. Unfortunately, the rain cut us short on sightseeing other sites. Overall, great tour with very friendly people. The language barrier did not get in the way because our tour guide spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese. Quite satisfied with this tour and I will highly recommended it. I will use Viatur in my future travels. Bon Voyage!!

Excellent guide and driver. Only concern: unable to receive clear communication on pick up time at Hotel. Nice door to door service at end of tour -

Saw it all.

We took along time to decide what day tour of Rio we wanted and were more then happy with this day trip. We didnt want to waste time with a tour that went to lunch but we wanted four sites; Redeeemer, Catholic Church, Selaron Steps and SugarLoaf. We wanted a visit at all four not just to drive by. We arrived the day before so this tour pickup at noon at our hotel was just right. Guide was very good.

This tour provided everything that...

This tour provided everything that we needed to know! Now, some may argue that doing the full day tour is money well spent but those tours are long and it is HOT!!!! We chose the afternoon tour strategically, wanting afternoon lighting to enhance the magnificent views and to ensure that we captured the perfect shots. Our amazing tour guide was Lucas. A young Brazilian who was well scripted in his knowledge of the sites we visited. The tour van was truly a multicultural serving of participants but Lucas rose to the challenge and made sure everyone was attended to and ensured everyone understood what we were looking at. There are literally hundreds of tours to choose from so we chose carefully, paying a bit extra for hotel pick up and drop off and to be ushered through the lines at Christ the Redeemer where some tourists can wait up to 2hrs, in the heat of the day, to get up and visit this magnificent monument on Cocovado, as it watches over the city and the dwellers below. We were allowed entry almost immediately on arrival. There were no meals provided with this tour but there are eateries at every site we visited. The tour pick up started at 1:30pm and we were dropped off at 7:00pm. Make sure you stay hydrated and your batteries are fully charged for your devices. You'll need it.

This tour company didn't show up on time - so we had to trouble shoot and found another tour guide from this company and had them contact the company as our name wasn't on her list. Also, this new tour guide was in a different language. All ended up working out and we switched to an English only tour, but not without an hour wait. Every stop was rushed and the details given on the tour were sparse.
