The tour guide was right outside the pier with clear signage as to who they were. Many times when the guide pointed out sights, we could not see them out of the bus. We were confused if lunch was included with the tour. The guide, Sandra, took us to a steak buffet which was $50+ (US) per couple. Many of the patrons were surprised by the cost and opted to go elsewhere on their own. We would have been happy to see the 2 main sights of Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf and the steps. Some of the sights were fillers since a lot were closed during Carnaval.
Tour was good but could have been better. I really expected so see a lot more and most if the places were "Pass By" and I was a bit disappointed. Christ Redeemer statue was filled with people however its not their fault that it the carnival season and there are lot of people.
This tour is a must!! It covers all important places you should visit in Rio in a very efficient way. Carmen, who was the best guide I ever have, was amazing in timing all the spots and gave us so many interesting stories and knowledgible explanations about the places and history behind it. I enjoyed every minute of the tour. Two thumbs up to Carmen!! I came to like this city very much.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Sandra. The tour was well-planned and well- timed e.g. got to Christ the Redeemer on opening and beat the crowds. Sandra never stopped giving us information about the history, life and culture of Rio. The recommended lunch restaurant was excellent, food original and tasty. With only 4 on the tour there was no waiting around. Definitely recommend!
