Good introduction to Reykjavik
Graham_H

This was an enjoyable short tour to get oriented in Reykjavik. We ambled around the central area, seeing the main streets and buildings. The guide was a local and provided lots of good commentary and insight on the city and also showed me many smaller things (like an "elf stone") that I would have missed on my own!

Not As Described...

Our guide was a young woman from Switzerland who has lived in Iceland for 1.5 years. She was very nice and laid back, but it wasn't what we were expecting based on the title and description. Perhaps a free walking tour with a local would have given us more of an Icelandic flavor?

The guide was funny, informative and personable. He brought the history of Iceland to life and also talked about recent events like the tourism impact on the country. He kept our family group which included two teenage boys very entertained and the tour went well over the two hours. THIS TOUR IS A MUST!!!
