Amazing experience

We were lucky enough to see the lights on the last night of our trip! The tour bus picked us up, and dropped us off, right out the front of our hotel. We drove south and saw the lights right as we pulled up! The tour guide was super friendly and informative, and provided us all with hot chocolate whilst we observed the colours in the sky. Unfortunately my camera didn't pick up the best images (the guide does tell you how to set your camera on the drive there, I just have an old camera!) so I contacted the company the next day and I was sent some amazing photos taken by the guide, which was a really nice touch. I'd highly recommend this company ☺️

Absolutely amazing experience to witness at first we only saw faint glimpses of the lights then they went..... So we then enjoyed some warmth round a small fire the guide had set up for us & enjoyed some hot chocolate & icelandic chocolate 😋
Then as most people started boarding & the guide had packed everything away he came back on board saying "we might wanna get off again"
Boy they were dancing around & above us green waves were in the black sky
We were blessed book on your first night so can reschedule if don't get lucky the first time. We travelled out of Reykjavík probably about an hour out in to the wilderness & yes cold night but the buzz was amazing
The guide was excellent in facts & stories he told
Book it asap you won't regret it

Terrible guide on second night

Went our two nights in a row but unlucky us, we didn’t see the northern lights. KPI was 2 on both nights. First night our guide was brilliant. She took us to the national park and it was completely dark. Though there were no northern lights, we were awed by the bright stars and star gazed, even saw a few shooting stars. End of the night, the driver dropped us to our designated hotels (as we paid for this service).
On the second night, the guide was AWFUL! Firstly, we went to 2 locations and they were both in a bright lit place! You could barely see the sky because there was too much light around. Secondly, the driver was doing the headcount, the guide was reading out poems in Icelandic. She didn’t bother translating them or telling the passengers what the poem was about, which we found odd. Lastly, the driver didn’t stop at our hotel, just drive off. My husband went up and asked whether he will be going back to drop us, to which the driver said “no we passed it so you get off here and just walk”... at 1am my husband and I had to walk approx 15 mins to our hotel when we had paid for the hotel pick up and drop off service! The guide was supposed to tell the driver which hotels we were stopping off at but the guide was oblivious herself. Second night was AWFUL!!

Even though it was veryyyyyyyyyy cold, it was an amazing experience. The guide and the driver both were really informative. They tried there best to make this experience worth. The guide took us outside to a location where the chances of seeing the northern lights were maximum. We did get to see a very faint one, but it was still a great experience. On top of this, in this cold weather, we were provided with hot chocolate, Icelandic cookies and worth mentioning fermented shark. If this is your first time to see northern lights, then you should definitely take this tour.

It was a very nice time. Unfortunately it got cloudy so we were not able to see the northern lights. It was a beautiful sky and saw many stars and the milky way though. We are allowed to book another northern lights tour for free which is very nice. Tour guide was very informative and talked about various myths and histories of the country which made the experience quite enjoyable.
