After morning pickup at your accommodation in Reykjavik, travel 28 miles (45 km) in a comfortable minibus to reach Thingvellir National Park.

Thingvellir is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is known as the location of Iceland's first parliament, Althingi, founded in 930 AD. The magnificent Silfra fissure is a popular stop that attracts snorkelers and divers.

Continue from Thingvellir to the Geysir Geyser hot spring geothermal area where hot water shoots 80 feet (25 meters) up in the air. Next up, snap photos of Gullfoss Waterfall, which has two stages of water that cascades into a rugged canyon.

Have ample time to take in the features of each site, and top off your tour by snowmobiling around the Langjokull Glacier. Before your 1-hour snowmobile ride starts, receive a safety briefing, driving instruction, and equipment. When ready, follow your guide on an exhilarating ride over the snow and ice of the Langjokull Glacier.

Your tour returns to Reykjavik around 6:30pm and ends with hotel drop-off.

We went as a family of 6 and everyone had an amazing time. The stops we made were amazing, the highlight hard to choose and the snowmobiling across the glacier was the perfect ending. Thanks to our guide Pedro who made it an unforgettable day!

Snowmobiling and the golden circle tour

Snowmobiling was fantastic and visiting the ice cave was a surprise bonus. Our guide was informative and a great driver but it was very much a case of here's the info now off you go yourselves and look at the sites yourselves-rather like a taxi service-which would suit a lot of people, but more hands on would have been better.

If you want to do snowmobiling in Iceland, use this company! The bus that we traveled in was amazing! It was the perfect temperature, had great wifi, and every seat had a USB charger easily accessible. Our tour guide kept us well informed throughout the entire tour and made sure we were aware of everything offered at each stop.

Long day tour but worth it

We enjoyed this tour very much. My best recommendation though is for the motion-sick sensitive folks. Even though I took a prescription dose of Mecclizine that morning, I had breakthrough motion sickness after the snowmobiling, as we were driving back to base camp (it's super rocky terrain) and then through the rest of the night. However I had room to lay down and try to sleep it off on the drive back to the city. The vehicle is cool and geared to driving over rocks and glaciers. We had a great tour guide, Juan. He was on time, answered questions and provided good back stories and information about the areas we visited. For snowmobiling, I had planned on swapping out with my husband so I could drive, but there was mostly ice and no snow. After watching 2 others flip their snowmobiles, I opted to just hang on and let my husband handle it! Our guides on the snowmobiling were great, taking fun photos of everyone and making sure we all had time to do so. The geysir area was not super exciting, but I'm glad we saw it. The highlight there was eating lunch for me. The waterfalls are jaw-dropping gorgeous. Walking through the techtonic plates was cool too.

It was a long tour but we got most of important Golden Circle stops visited with enough bathroom stops along the way. The highlight would be the snow mobile over the glacier. Due listen carefully to the instructions and you will have an excellent time. They serve hot coco and coffee afterwards. Our tour guide play the most amazing music along the way and friendly.

This was a fantastic way to experience the golden circle, topped off with a ski-doing ride across a glacier. It was breathtaking! Our driver, Guner, not sure if that’s correct, but his name was not John 😆 was excellent. He was funny and told us loads of facts.Overall this was simply amazing and would highly recommend anyone visiting Iceland to experience this.
