Waste of time. We didnt go to tres ojos. Only thing we did was take 2 audio tours. Guide didn't give any history. Most of the day was spent leaving us in different gift shops. There is a lot to do in Santo Domingo. I wished i would have taken the local bus and spent the day touring myself.

If you don't mind being crammed into a van with up to 15 people and don't mind walking a lot, then take this tour. Also, we had no music as listed in the description and did not have a choice between a regular buffet and Dominican buffet for lunch either. Our guide, Sweet David, really was sweet -- he helped with my husband who did have some walking issues. I enjoyed hearing some of the history but can honestly say I do not think I would have done this tour and probably should have researched it a little more before booking it.

The tour was ok but it was just not for me. It was too far from the hotel and was a very long 12hr day. The three eye cave wasn't that impressive and when you get out they run you through some ruthless vendors that don't take no for an answer. The tour guide was great though very good with people and knew a lot about the area. So I guess for me it was just too far for what I got out of it.

Safe for a single female. I was alone all day traveling with the tour and felt very safe the whole day. From Punta Cana, it is about a 13 hour day filled with a lot of walking. In July, it was very hot. We stopped a few times to shop, then went to the Cathedral, we were given time to explore with headphones on our own, then we walked to Diego Columbus's home and again had time to explore with headphones. Our tour guide was nice, but didn't talk much. We ate at a small restaurant, buffet style. We went to a store that created pieces with Amber and Larimar, then to another store. Here, the man told us about how Mamajuana national drink is produced and we tried a small cup. After, we traveled through Santo Domingo to Tres Ojos. This was the highlight of the tour! The caves and pools are very nice. Bring lots of water, it is VERY humid down in the caves. It would be nice if the driver had a cooler with waters since it is a long day. The ride to and from Punta Cana is about 3 hours.
