Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Start your day with an optional pickup from hotels in San Juan, or make your own way to the marina in Fajardo. As your catamaran pulls up anchor and heads into the cerulean seas, check out great views of the coastline’s beaches, plus scenic vistas of nearby El Yunque National Forest. Don’t forget to enjoy a piña colada, rum punch, soda or juice from the bar on the way.

Your catamaran arrives at Icacos Cay, part of a chain of 10 small islands that comprise La Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. If weather conditions require, your captain may navigate instead to the equally stunning island of Palominitos. Then hop in the water for some aquatic activities, including snorkeling on the nearby reef, swimming or beachcombing on the shore of this placid paradise.

When you start to get hungry around midday, head back to the boat for a buffet spread. Build a sandwich from the included array of fresh-baked bread (pan de agua), sliced meats including turkey, ham, pastrami and salami, sliced cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Make sure to also grab some sides, including gourmet pasta salad, chicken salad, coleslaw, bean dip, chips, cookies, and fresh fruit.

Following lunch, your catamaran heads to another reef for more snorkeling or sunbathing. While underwater, keep your eyes peeled for reef creatures including colorful fish and the occasional octopus or manta ray. Or stay dry on the deck, where you can gaze at the sea life through glass windows or shoot down the boat’s built-in waterslide.

Your relaxing sailing day finishes with a return cruise back to the harbor, where you can find your optional hotel transportation back to San Juan.

Icacos in the middle of COVID-19

We went to Icacos Island and the whole experience was amazing! Even though the island was in a semi lockdown because of Covid-19; don't let that fool ya! The crew is amazing, they made everybody social distance and be safe but at the same time they made sure you had fun. You start off by going literally to the middle of the ocean and scuba dive for like an hour, then you sail to Icacos where you can be at the beach and enjoy yourself. The crew will do anything for you. A++

It was an awesome time, besides the weather which they have no control over, it was great. The staff was nice and there’s was enough space for everyone to have their own corner.

We had a great experience on our private island excursion. The water was absolutely beautiful. The staff was awesome. They where friendly and ensured that we where having a good time throughout the entire experience. From the time of booking communication was great. The captain was friendly and very informative when we asked questions about sailing and his experience. Shout out to Christian, Javier and Jay and the rest of the crew. Highly recommend this company and excursion.

Fun time

It was so much fun! They provide drinks and light foods. There is snorkeling, beach time, swimming, laying out etc. Only suggestion is having a crew to help non-swimmers with snorkeling and provide better flotation devices. Our boat only had the waist band which isn’t much help for non-swimmers. They did provide a rope for you to hang on to but it’s right in front of the stairs so people are always trying to get pass.

More snorkelling or closer to snorkelling place would be better' as not everyone is not a good swimmer.

Family Vacation for all ages (Children & Senior Citizens)
Dawn

The Deserted Island Catamaran Day Sail was the highlight of my family vacation. We had a blast and the crew was very helpful, especially considering the fact that many of my family members aren't great swimmers. The crew along with family members kindly helped those non-swimmers safely reach the shore. You have to swim a little to shore before your able to stand upright in the water.

Pretty good time - the catamaran had a fairly large group, but the guides were very attentive. Wished it was a smaller group but still a good time!
