Prague Jewish Quarter
Mark Z
, Oct 2018
Pavel was a fantastic guide. He picked us up at our Hotel the hilton old town prague and we walked to the jewish quarter from our hotel and he walked us back also. While walking there he gave us a tour of everything we saw on the way there and walked a different way back to see other things we hadn't seen walking there. He works for Lucy Tours and we had another tour with the same tour company the next day also. we happened to see him in our hotel the next day also as he was doing another tour. But back to the Jewish quarter. Pavel is not Jewish, but his discussion about everything we saw would tell you otherwise. He was so knowledgeable of everything about the quarter. Of course the jewish population in Prague is very small because of all the Jews that did not survive the wars only one of the synagogues that we visited is actually one that has services there still. It was just a great informative tour and all the history there was amazing. Definitely worth it to do this as a private tour so that we didn't have to deal with outside distractions from other tourists. We visited all the synagogues there and the total tour was 3 hours including the walk there and back. Definitely worth the private tour price.

Our guide picked us up, by foot, at our hotel and walked us to the important Jewish sites and synagogues. As it was a private tour, we moved at our speed which was important since one of us was in a wheelchair. He was very mindful of the best accessible route for us to use. He also helped push the wheelchair. He was very knowledgeable and a very nice guy.
