This cooking experience with Catia is an ABSOLUTE MUST DO!!! We toured the market and learned SO much about the history of Portugal through food. We absolutely loved our class with Catia, she is working so hard to provide an amazing class with a small number of people. The visit to the market was excellent and she gave us loads of interesting information about Portugese foods, cooking and even some of the history. We had a great time, definitely recommend this when you come to Porto! Thanks Catia

Other reviewers have noted how brilliantly Catia has woven her heartfelt history of Portugal and her own family into each food stall at Bolhão Mercado and then came back to her kitchen to blend the ingredients with more history and flavorings and spices. I came away with a deeper love of Portugal as seen through its history and foods. She blended us into a cohesive working group that produced with her guidance a fantastic, memorable meal. Oh yes, the vinho verde was excellent too! You cannot miss this exoerience!

We had a great afternoon with Cátia. After a short walk to a local food market to learn about the food we would be cooking we spent the afternoon cooking a 3 course meal. Cátia was a really good host, fun to be with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended :-)

Eerst samen op de overdekte markt de ingrediënten kopen. Dan een wandeling naar het appartement, dat heel mooi ingericht is. Dan samen 3 gangan gekookt en lekker opgegeten. Wacht wel nog op de receptjes (zei dat ze dit 1x/week verstuurd, leef dus nog op hoop)
