Overall Awesome!

We loved the whole trip but the main parts were rushed. The time at Chichen Itza and the Cenote were very quick and didn’t give us as much time to enjoy the grandeur of the location. The sales pitch at the Mayan Reservation was a bit much as well.

Very Informative

Trip was great , tourist guide were great, only complaint is that I wish we saw the ruins and the cenote first. We left at 8:15 and returned at 8:30 so this was indeed a 12hour excursion. There were alot of people trying to sell us stuff , if you plan on buying anything make sure you have cash on hand ( not large bills). Tomas , Pastor were our tour guides.

What a fantastic experience! Our bus driver and 4 tour guides were simply amazing - so kind and personable. Chechen Itzá was incredible! The place we stopped at to have lunch and buy obsidian on our way to the ruins was delicious and amazing. We loved learning about the Mayan culture. Then, to go swim in the cenote was absolutely beautiful and almost surreal. Thank you for providing such a fabulous opportunity!

Victor was the most knowledgeable tour guide that I have ever experienced and I am so grateful to have had the chance to support the Mayan people and embrace their culture.

Premier not at all !

Bought the more expensive option expecting a less crowded transportation and differentiated food and drinks service. In the end went in the same bus, had the same guide and food as if I had bought the most BASIC option. We arrived in Chichen Itza at the hottest time of the day, which made the Main experience less enjoyable.

Missing spots

We took the premier package. They pick us up in a small van on time and then took us to a store in quinta avenida, we waited outside the shop for long time. We depart from Playa del Carmen at 9.30, They took us to Tulum to pick up more people. Tourguide talked a little about Mayan culture but most of the talk was about Obsidian rock ,(later on will take us to the shop) It was ok but the complaining about the salaries and government not supporting. We stopped in the shop for almost 2 hours (also had lunch with limited 2 drinks each) On the way to chichen itza we asked about the observatory and the sacred cenote at which the answered they were closed to COVID. They also talked about locals selling illegally at chichen. When we arreived they told us that 1.30 hours will be the whole tour with no stops. While taking the tour we asked the new tourguide about the observatory and the sacred cenote, They said they were both open!! That made us feel dissapointed becaused they lied to us, instead of using the time to visit the places they use the time to make us buy stuff for the comission. Many locals selling inside depend on sales for their families and we were told to ignore them, not buy because we could be scammed. On the way back a guy from the previous shop got into the bus to sell usa drink Xtanbentun at 400.00 pesos (250ml) with our printed picture on the bottle. The Cenote they took us was very nice, they had the same drink but bigger 750ml at 200.00 (They dont make you buy it, we just did because we are supportive type of family) They finished by taking us to Valladolid to buy some snacks. Just before dropping us, the talk about supporting them with gratitudes, not tips because they spent more than 10 hours with us and tips are for waiters or taxi drivers. They are with us instead of their families and that with our gratitudes they will have a nice dinner at home. Its very uncomfortable because we pay for a tour to enjoy and have a good time not to feel sorry for the tourguides or their families.

One of the best ever!

My wife and I travel a lot. I would say this tour was one of the best we've ever done. I've never learned so much in one day! Learning how to count in Mayan, hearing the Mayan language by the locals, really broadened my perspective. It is a very long day - we were picked up at 7:00 AM in Playa Del Carmen and got back to the hotel by 8:30 pm. So be prepared ... but it is worth it!

Long day, but very fun! Our guides were great and attentive. Pedro, our driver, Victor, Adrian, and Jesus. They made the day fabulous. My only complaint / recommendation is to cut out Valladolid. We were so tired we didn't even bother getting off the bus at this point.

Premiere experience is a SCAM
Ko_Y

The premiere experience is a waste of money and a scam. It is more than twice as much as the "classic" experience for an open bar, and "breakfast". The open bar, lunch only, consist of 2 beers. That's all. I was told I could only get two drinks max. There was beer and a mix of grapefruit soda and tequila offered towards the ride back. This is what irritate me the most about the tour. Typically you pick your seat on the bus, first come first serve. Our tour guide, Adrian, insisted that I give up my seat to sit next to someone who was trying to maintain social distancing in order to accommodate a group of 6 in who were late. The group of 6 sat in the front, and it was obvious that the group of 6 were all his personal friends. My other option was the very back next to the toliet. This is after we've been waiting around for nearly 3 hours. Someone else refused to give up their seat, in which Adrian responded with a nasty passive aggressive remark how some passengers refuse to help out. The check-in process is a cluster, where everyone on multiple tours gets bused to a central location for processing. Our 60 pax bus was 97% full, NO social distancing for Covid.
