Private Tour: Phuket Introduction City Sightseeing Tour

Our guide was pleasant, but there was very little about this tour to applaud. Phuket is an island with an amazing history, but we learned almost nothing about the island or this rich history from this tour. And, in fact, given the guide's answers to our questions, I'm not certain that she knows much about the island's history. She seemed woefully uninformed and so struggled with even basic questions. She could tell us where the 5-star hotels were located and she was happy to take our photos (we weren't big on taking many photos and so didn't use her much in this way). That was about it. We stopped at a couple of places where we could take photos, presumably to share on Instagram or something. We also then stopped at a temple (she left us to look around by ourselves and offered no insight into this particular temple and why we stopped there). We stopped at a cashew factory, which was really just a place to buy cashews, since there was little that was shared about the cashew production process or the industry in Thailand. We stopped at a jewelry market where we were hounded by salespeople hoping to make a sale. Despite asking to have some room to look around, three salespeople flanked us throughout our time in their showrooms. It felt oppressive. In the end, this was an unsatisfying experience that I could not recommend to others.

there is not all that much to see in Phuket, apart from the beaches. The one large temple was included but the Big Buddha was not - it should have been. However, the guide was very good, very informative about current matters and therefore the 4 hours were well spent. We did not go to the jewellry place - no interest.

It was great. We had an amazing guid who showed us beautiful places to take pictures and advised us where we can buy not expensive souveniers.

We enjoyed seeing sights we had not previously seen. The "English speaking" guide was less than that, and talked too much. Which is the reason we prefer English speaking drivers to "Guides". He did not know of the Jim Thompson stores which I wanted to visit, I have to rate this service a 3. S. Erikson

Sadly, this tour didn't live up to expectations. It had one great point - the viewpoint from Karon. But the rest felt like a sales push into various areas. Our guide also spoke constantly and very quickly - we never had a moment of quiet and had difficulty understanding him.

A nice way to get your bearings of the island and the city. Shows you some good destinations to head back to on your own.

This was an amazing introduction to Phuket and we were very lucky to have Woody as our guide. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting this beautiful country.

Turen var fin og vi fikk sett mye. Men guiden snakket dårlig engelsk og alt for fort. Når man ikke har engelsk som morsmål blir det ekstra vanskelig når det går så fort og uttalen er så dårlig. Har vanligvis ikke problemer med å skjønne det. Har vært på turer tidligere i Thailand, hvor jeg ikke har hatt problemer med å forstå. Guiden vi hadde burde absolutt ha lært litt bedre engelsk før hun skal guiden turister rundt.
