Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Travel by small-group vehicle from Phoenix to see two rims of the Grand Canyon in one day.
After morning pickup at select locations in Phoenix or Scottsdale, relax on your drive through the Sonora Desert, en route to some of the American Southwest's most beautiful highlights.

Your drive brings you through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as you increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As you continue further into northern Arizona, travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, one of the largest contiguous forests of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams is the first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition.

Your van climbs up to 6,000 feet (1,800 meters) before you reach your first stopping point in Grand Canyon National Park. Expect ample time to explore the features around the deepest and widest part of the canyon, which measures 277 miles (445 km) in length. Visit the El Tovar Hotel and Hopi House in Grand Canyon Village, multiple scenic lookout points along the East Rim Drive, and have time to shop, go for a walk, grab lunch (own expense), and visit cultural exhibits along the rim.

Your tour ends in the evening upon your return to your starting point in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area.

It was awesome. The trip up was full of informative talks by our guide, sufficient rest stops along the way. Lots of time for photography when at the canyon- we were left to wander, visit exhibits, shop at 3 different areas. Didn’t feel rushed around at all. It was a cold day, but we’d been warned so came on the trip prepared. Our guide Andy was awesome.a walking Wikipedia!

We had a small group on a cold day in March. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative and provided great information throughout the day. The Grand Canyon was just spectacular and the long day travelling to and from Scottsdale was well worth it.

Fun day. Sam our guide was fun, knowledgeable and went further than normal so we could find good views since it was rainy and foggy. Long day but good.

Great Grand Canyon Day Trip

Great trip. Our guide, Steve, was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the canyon and all the places we traveled through on the trip to the canyon. He had concern for all of our comfort. It was a long day (pick up at 6:15am and drop off at 7:45pm) but well worth it. A true bucket list day.

Great GC tour From Phoenix
SJG
, Mar 2020
Nate our driver & guide was extremely knowledgable about the locations, geology, related folklore, and history. That certainly made the (relatively) long drive pass by quickly. We had a good amount of time (˜3 hrs.) at the GC, incl. a ˜2km trail along the south rim which was quite easy. The views were truly magnificent. He also made a sufficient number of stops. It would be worth 5 stars if lunch was included.

Grand Canyon A Must See!

, Mar 2020
Seeing the Grand Canyon in person was amazing! Booking the tour was easy and everyone at the front office was friendly and patient with all my questions. The ride to and back is long and made for a long day, but it can’t be helped since it’s along way from Phoenix! We were picked up on time. I agree with others that the stop in Williams, AZ really wasn’t necessary and we could have spent that extra time seeing the GC. I took one star off because I was not impressed with our tour guide, Robert. While he was friendly, he hardly provided any commentary on the drive up and didn’t talk at all on the way back, which made for loooong periods of silence. Also, quite a few times on the way back, his driving left something to be desired as it seemed like he might have nodded off as the tour van drifted out of the lane and he corrected it by literally jerking the steering wheel to get back into the lane. It was very concerning and a bit frightening. Glad we all made it back in one piece. Wish we had a different guide that others mentioned in their reviews.

Sam was excellent! Informative and led in a way that made us cohesive as a group. He encouraged us to be inquisitive and had a vast depth and width of knowledge. The vistas were amazing! The experience was one I will never forget.

Amazing Grand Canyon Tour
ErinK
, Feb 2020
Derek was very knowledgeable on the area and more than willing to answer any questions that we had. He was upbeat, took pictures for us, and just made an amazing trip more fun. We enjoyed being with a small group. The small bus was very clean and comfortable. We went on a Thursday and avoided much of a crowd at the Canyon, so we were able to get right in there and take some great photos. Would definitely book another trip when I am back in the area.
