The tour leader was knowledgable, entertaining and his primary focus was our safety. We never felt rushed and had ample time in each area visited. The paddleboat lake tour was wonderful and the captain stopped the boat each time we spotted a sheep, eagle, etc.

Nearly drove ourselves but would have missed a lot. Loved the Lost Dutchman Park as Zane was extremely knowledgeable about varieties of cacti and the desert. We learned so much. As we drove to the Dolly, Zane shared superstitions/ legends/facts about the area. The boat ride was spectacular- awesome scenery. We truly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it. A great day! Thanks, Zane!

Not worth the money

2/3 of the trip you could do yourself for free. The trail tour was part of the free part of the Lost Dutchman park. The stop at Goldfield is also free.

Most activities at national parks, museums can be done without an interpreter guide, the differences is the knowledge given. Most people do not have the time to focus their efforts in read dozens of books on the geology, history, plants, and animals that live in a particular scenic region - because as mentioned it requires a lot of studying. However, many people find value in informative narration thus they invest in theirselves by going on public “guide” tours. However, guided tours are not for everybody and perhaps in the future you should do so without the extra knowledge of the National Park, Museum or Scenic area you will be visiting.

An enjoyable trip on the Apache Trail and the Dolly Steamboat. Zane, the guide was very informative. He gave us background of the places and people of the area. He explained the nearby flora. He answered many questions from everyone had about Phoenix and surrounding area. It was a great way to spend a day in Phoenix.
