I was sorry to read that your day to Normandy D-Day Sites was a cold cold, windy day but truly happy that you enjoyed your tour with your guide Olivier who really is very knowledgeable and a great guide. I thank you very much for taking the time to share about it. The entire team at Paris TRIP is Looking forward to welcome you again on one of our tours in Paris. Warm regards. Arnaud B.
Nicholas was attentive to all of our needs during the drive and the actual tour. He knew the weather was going to be a challenge so he switched up the schedule so that we would be able to see everything before the rain. It worked out great. Besides his weather skills he was informative polite and made this day the best tour of our trip. My entire family joins me in inviting you to request Nicholas for your tour too.
Great description by the Chauffeur cum guide. Almost felt as a part of WWII.
However, as a family we were made to sit in three different rows in minivan. Were told that we signed the fine print contract. Ha ha ... hilarious. If not for the guide , and the location itself, should you still choose this, then be prepared to sit as split family
Our family -- two adults, plus 12- and 10-year-old sons -- consider this to be one of the top highlights of our Parisian vacation. My 12-year-old son in particular has been interested in D-Day for several years now, and we all appreciated the opportunity to visit these important sites. Pascal was an excellent guide. He has an incredible about of knowledge about D-Day and World War II in general, along with the history and geography of Normandy, and did a fantastic job of putting everything into context in a way that even the kids could understand. In particular we appreciated that this tour included a stop at the American Cemetery; we noticed that the other tour groups we encountered at Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach weren't there, or at the battery overlooking Gold Beach. This tour is very thorough in visiting many important D-Day sites and so I highly recommend it for anyone, including families, who wants to see as many of the sites as possible.
A deeply moving day made all the more meaningful by our guide Pascal’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject. If you’re hesitant about doing this visit in a day trip from Paris - do it! A memorable day that you will treasure.
We had an outstanding tour with Nicolas to Normandy. The day was well planned and our guide was knowledgeable and could share his own personal stories of his family living in occupied France. The day leaves you with an appreciation for all that was won and lost in Normandy and World War II. Highly recommended tour!
