We selected two guided tours from Babylon tours; the first was at the Orsay Museum & the second was at the Louvre. We selected them separately, but scheduled them back to back on the same day.
From the start Babylon tours was nothing but professional. They sent a confirmation email (directly), later on an update with details on where to meet (photos included) with our tour guide's name and finally a reminder email the evening before. I was impressed with their attention to detail before our tours even started.
This was awesome, we had the same guide (Lucia) for both tours. We ended up walking together from the Orsay to the Louvre. Once again, probably since it was January and fairly cold outside, no one else had signed up for the museum tour...another private tour!
Once again the tour was great; Lucia was very knowledgeable about the sculptures, history and artwork. She has a small binder with additional reference material to share for some of the more well know pieces. The pacing of the tour was great, we took plenty of photos and had a great time. 2 1/2 hours is not even close enough to see everything, but it's a good start. We were told that at 3 minutes per piece of art, you would spend 3 months in the Louvre trying to see everything.
I would definitely recommend a guided tour if this is your first time visiting the museum. Babylon tours as a company was great to deal with and Lucia was an excellent guide and we enjoyed spending our day with her.
Glad we were able to skip the LONG lines. We were blessed with the best tour guide we have ever enjoyed with Lili Perovic. She was absolutely incredible, personable, funny and had an incredible depth of knowledge, She taught us things we would have never found in any book and made the art come to life. Awesome experience! We highly recommend this tour!!
Our guide, Anastasia, was fabulous! She knew art history AND history and was able to put it in context with our tour. Our fellow tourists and us formed a little family and we all enjoyed the highlights of the Lourve. Although crowded, our guide knew areas from which to view these works of art and the story of how they were found or painted. Wonderful.
Lillie was terrific -we had a wonderful experience- walked right into museum and Lillie brought us to the important art work and gave us expert information about the artist and artwork . Highly recommend this tour
We were in a semi private tour with Alex. He was extremely knowledgeable of the Louvres and Fine Art. He navigated us smoothly throughout the museum and connected the eras together seemlessly. We would definitely take another tour with Alex.
My husband and I enjoyed our tour of The Louvre with our guide, Felix. There were 6 of us in our tour group with Felix. We were all from the USA visiting Paris. It appeared as though none of us in the group were overly in to art, but we were all interested in soaking up what we could. The guided tour was perfect because it took us straight to the highlights. Feliz is very well versed in The Louvre. I perceived him as expert, he seemed to know everything. He was also friendly and conversational and made some jokes. I am glad he was our guide. An additional shout out to Felix because I had called him about 40 minutes before the tour began saying we might be 13 minutes late as we were delayed getting out of Versailles. Felix was encouraging. He let me know he could wait up to 15 minutes but if we were not there he would send us our tickets so we could still get in and check it out ourselves. I respected his willingness to be reasonable, but not have the rest of the group wait around. Also he provided a solution. We are happy with the tour and will reccomwnd to friends going to Paris. Thank you!
Taylor was an amazing tour guide. We were very well informed of the history of many pieces of the collection that we had wanted to see. She educated us on so many pieces and ensured our visit to the Mona Lisa. We are very pleased with our tour choice and would highly recommend her.
