We bought and you sold us tickets for a group tour of the Da Vinci exhibit. We came from Toulon and the office told us that our tickets were not valid, and were restricted to a Louvre general tour. We've done that in the past and were not interested. I suggest you reimburse us , or we'll advertise on all the English and American sites that we know of, that you're a fraudulent company misleading customers and leading them to buy tickets that they don't need. We're retired and have the time to do it. We can also do it on all the French sites we know of, since we're fluent in French.
Louvre is always interesting, in spite of all.....
, Feb 2020
First of all I wanted the Leonardo temporary exhibitions tickets and for 4 times the site resent me to Louvre visit. At the fifth time it seemed I got the Leonardo's tickets and it was quite a surprise when, in Paris, I had to discover that i got the tickes for Louvre visit with a guide and not guide for Leonardo.
Louvre is always interesting, in spite of the guide, with a very basic preparation, that was ready to leave us after 90' of tour (120 ' was the time foreseen for the visit).
Excelelent introduction to lourve.
We came in January and it was just us on the tour. Went via the group line which was short and entered the museum early.
Our guide was very informative and friendly and we saw the highlights.
At the end of the short tour our guide pointed us in the direction of other areas which interested us (Mesopotamia) and left us to explore. Overall very good
Our guy was very informative and friendly. She has very good knowledge of things in the louvre. The tour was easy paced. Even though it was only an hour and a half we saw and understood some of the key pieces in the museum.
I booked my private guide tour for three people and paid in advance 208.00 EUR, got the confirmation a week before of my visit to Louvre. The organization reached me only at 8:30PM, night before the scheduled visit to Louvre, saying our tour is cancelled because they have no english spoken guide available and they were suggesting me that I can do the Louvre visit at my own pace and they would refund me the difference. As a tourist that have only counted days and scheduling every other visit in advance, this was a nightmare!. I did book the tour for few reasons: to skip the line, to have a focused view for few things I specifically wanted to see in the museum and to have a deep knowledge about these artworks. Well, that was not happening and I was notified this 15 hours before my scheduled tour. I asked if there were any other optional dates/hours but the only thing that was offered was in a day I was already leaving Paris and it was at 7PM! So I wanted to reimbursement and asked for three individual tickets, one senior, one adult and one child. Child age does not even require a payment for the ticket. The organization reimbursed me only 127EUR keeping 80 EUR! The ticket prices are 17.00EUR, so I was supposed to pay 34.00EUR and lets say 2/3 EUR per ticket for the convenience of advanced booking. Instead, I had to stay under rain and cold wind for 35 minutes to get in the Louvre and instead of 90 minutes I had to spend 3.5 hours to the art pieces I specifically wanted to see. So my entire day was almost gone! I continued to call them asking for the difference but after 30 minutes of talk they paid another 25EUR. So total of reimbursement is 152EUR, still keeping 46EUR. I really do not mind at the end if I had to pay more of few EUR but I already have spent my time for organizing my trip and got the support of the professionals (at least I thought) to make it more efficient and enjoyable my trip. With these lack of organization abilities I had to re-spend more time and energy and with the money I paid in advance I had to suffer instead of enjoying the beautiful museum! Why should I be the victim of a bad organization? Why should I be the one running after the money back?
