Although the description sounded different, this is not a tour if you have limited mobility

Nice trip, but nowhere on materials sent to me did I see a note (or address) about meeting the tour at the Universal offices. I got to the Eiffel Tower at 8:00AM for the indicated 8:45AM start time. A tour guide showed up at 8:40AM and approached me and he said oh I’m from a different tour company and he said but Universal Tours is straight down the street and right about 70 buildings and he looked and said oh yeah doesn’t say that anywhere on your information here good luck you’re going to be late. As I headed in the direction he indicated, I passed more than one tour and stopped every single one of them showing them the name of the company. They pointed me down the street this was at number 100 and said all that Universal was at about number 30. I had chosen this tour because it mentioned that it was good for people with limited mobility. I have difficulty walking distances and was dropped off by the taxi at the Eiffel tower itself because that’s where I thought the meeting point was. Also it really is not a tour for people with any kind of limited mobility there was a lot of walking I logged in on my phone it over two miles in total. Also, there are most certainly are stairs although the tour description said that it was a wheelchair accessible tour, giving a different expectation for the accessibility of this tour. The guide I must say was absolutely wonderful he was so kind and nice and other people on the tour who saw I was having trouble walking said “this should be fun for you” as we looked at multiple flights of stairs. Saying the top of the Eiffel tower was a memorable experience and again the guide was very very kind but not for those with limited mobility.
The tower opens at 9:00 am and the elevators at 9:30 am. I thought 8:15 am was a bit early to start. We did a lot of standing around and waiting. Also, the tour was in 3 languages. I think one language would be best.
I did appreciate having someone else buy the tickets and figure out were to go.
We were literally the very first ones walking onto the tower. We were able to beat the crowd and enjoy the tower for several hours. The only suggestion I would make is to have the majority of the "teaching moments" while standing in line vs while on the tower. The wait was boring, so it would have made the time pass quicker, and then we would have had even more crowd free time once actually on the tower. Our guide was excellent though and knew his stuff. He was much appreciated. I 100% recommend this guide and tour!
Important to know the tour does not start at 8 am. You wait at a souvenir shop for almost an hour, before they walk over the the tower. They do a very rough count of who is on what tour, and no confirmation by the team of who is signed up for what. The tower was late opening, and we did not get up to start the tour until 10:30. So much standing around and not worth it. Buy your own ticket and read about the history on line
the visit with Viator is very expensive considering what you get. We were almost on our own and the guide didn't talk a lot about the tower. He was not well trained. I didn't not recommend this tour at all..
We paid for the morning tour by elevator. After arriving at the tour meeting point, we waited for about 20 minutes then migrated as a group to the staging area for entry into the Eiffel Tower grounds. We waited outside in line for about 1.5 hours before entering that area and moving into a ticket line. Once in the ticket line, we waited for about another hour before our group was near the group ticket window at which point the "tour guide" purchased the tickets for our group and handed them out. We then passed through security and never saw the "tour guide" again. The tickets the guide purchased were 25.5 Euro each and the cost for the "tour" was substantially more. Also, individuals not associated with groups that arrived the same time as we did were able to gain entry to the Tower much earlier than we were.
Definitely recommend it. We were the first groups of the day to enter and we enjoyed getting to the top at our leisure by upgrading on the spot. Well worthy. We skipped the crowds. When coming down the top was already getting crowded and at the bottom there was a sea of people. We were so glad to have done the tour so early.
Beautiful eifeltower but no shortcut or fast acces to the tower

The meeting time was 8:15 in the morning.... The security check at the eifel tower only opens at 9:00 the tower itself opens at 9:30.... therefor if you main goal is to save time and avoid cuuing: this tour does not help. you can save your money and just buy regular tickets on the site and just go there in your own time...
But the guides were nice.
