Champagne Tasting on a Seine River Cruise

Our sommelier was amazing.. we had the best time!! All 3 champagnes we tasted were delicious.. I would definitely book this again! If you’re in paris this is a must!!

I really enjoyed this trip. My boyfriend and I went and it was very romantic for us. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable on wine and she was able to answer all of my questions. Including the silly one about what is the difference between wine and champagne... Apparently there is a big difference! The champagne was delicious although I wish you was able to buy some on the boat because I couldn't find the 3rd one I loved anywhere in Paris! The sommelier gave us a little history lesson as well which was nice as we cruised down the Seine river. Going at night was lovely as you could see all the lights and sights of Paris which were amazing. Considering this was a should we or shouldn't we go trip, I am glad we did this in the end. Tips? Outside there is a pizza place with a pizza that is to die for. If you can, get a pizza from here because it is delicious! I really enjoyed this trip and I would recommend it.

I highly recommend this cruise in the evening to see many sites from the water. The sommelier provided a perfect amount of information about the champagnes, enough to gain knowledge, not so much it was pretentious or too much.

We have visited Paris many times and we were stopping through on our honeymoon just for 2 days and one night and this was recommended to us by a fellow traveler. I would recommend the Champagne tasting tour whether it's your first time or if you've been to Paris before. It's always a treat to see Paris from the river and our Somm was so knowledgable about the city as well as the Champagne. You also get the very front of the boat with the best view and it's inside so you don't have to worry about the cooler months- although you can walk outside if you would like to take pictures or enjoy the view.

We enjoyed the champagne tasting on the Seine River, our guide was knowledgeable and great. The confusing part was figuring out where to line up and board the boat as there were other passengers who did not have champagne tasting included. Good idea to get there early to avoid confusion. Overall a good experience.

lovely all the way around. simple, easy to get to, yummy champagne and an amazing host with a down to earth personality who speaks in English :) highly recommend. great way to take in some of the city. not crowded, and is a sep. part of the boat roped off specifically for the champagne tasting guests.

The cruise was lovely - a private, small group in the front of the boat with option to be covered or outdoors. The sommelier/gide was very knowledgeable and can make the explanation of the champagne as simple or as detailed as you needed. She also spoke great English and pointed out features of Paris along the cruise. It was a great kickoff to our stay in Paris as we were able to get our bearing on the city layout and plan our future options. The reason why I am posting this review though is to thank the crew as we would have missed the boat (and the $200 we paid) without their help. We arrived in Paris earlier that day and made the mistake of taking a nap before the tour and arrived to the ticket booth late. We were at the back of the line and not sure really what we even needed to do and we could see the boat was leaving any minute. Someone on the boat staff came to the ticket line and asked for us by name and then took us to the front of the line and escorted us through the process to get the tickets and board the boat. Without her help, we would have never made it and would have missed out on a great start to our trip. We were so appreciative of them taking that extra step to find us and help us even through we were late. They could have left without us and we would have totally understood. Thank you!!

Because river cruises have a tendency to be overcrowded, we were a little hesitant when we booked this one. And with the lines we saw when we arrived, and how over-packed some of the other boats were, those fears increased. But the fears turned out to be unwarranted, specific to this champagne tasting cruise, because this cruise is held in a separate and private part of a larger boat, with only seating for about 2 dozen people. Ultimately, it wound up being a beautiful and peaceful tour of the River Seine while tasting some excellent champagne. Our sommelier, whose name I cannot remember (though I wish I could - it started with a "G") was amazing. He was entertaining and informative. The champagne and the views were fantastic, and it was just an overall enjoyable experience.

We arrived at CDG mid-morning and had this booked for the evening. Gerald was very friendly and knew so much about the buildings we were passing, he was a wealth of information. And all of the champagnes we tried were delicious. Thank you all for a great first evening in Paris!
