Accomodative Solution
Benjamin_J
, Aug 2022
We got delayed for the tour since one of our baggage went missing at the airport, and since we were driving from Vegas, we couldn't make it by their reporting time. We tried our best speaking with the tour operator but they wouldn't budge. While I completely understand that the cancellation rules were clearly mentioned, it would have been nice to have got some kind of a accomodative solution from the tour operator, especially since the 4 of us were traveling all the way from India to see Upper Antelope and had some extraneous circumsatnces for our delay.
Worth the trip!

We were given the 3:20pm time and it was the worst time to visit the antelope canyon.. they never told us that’s not a good time but sold the tickets.. no sunshine except the entrance of the canyon and hence you are walking into a dark cave
Must see

The tour is a must see. Although, the time spent is too little for the price. The one thing that is not mentioned is the change in time if you are coming from southern Arizona. The Navajo nation observes daylight savings so be sure you plan around that.

This company has the worst communication ever. When you go on the site to pick your time, they have to confirm it with the tour guide. We get a message that that time isn’t available and to choose one of the times listed. We picked a new time and get another message from your guide that that time isn’t available either. Then we get a booking confirmation for the origytime we ask for. Then at 2:14 am, we get a message that our time that is booked isn’t available and we are to be at the site at 7:30 am . We didn’t see the email until 9:30 am. Missed our tour which costs us $706.00. We rode out to the site and talked to the people there and they gave us our original time, paying again. This was the worst experience We have ever been through. Do not use this company. Go straight to the site and book with them.

Dear customer, thanks for your feedback and we are sorry that we received these reviews. As we know, the Antelope Canyon is a very popular attraction. So available time slots change frequently, especially during the peak tourist season. We strongly recommend that customers make reservations for earlier dates to avoid unavailability of timely communication.
We will try to improve this process, and wish you a pleasant journey!
Viator is a rip off

Viator feels like a scam. The price for these tickets is actually 100usd (and I have a picture from the day of our tour to prove it.) We were way overcharged for this booking via Viator. They have a 'low price guarantee' which is false as when I proved with a picture that we were overcharged and are owed back 233 usd, I am told that what Viator charged us is 'a fair price.' It doesn't matter that we have pictures to prove otherwise. The price made the experience a 1/5 as Viator has false advertising for its policies. I reached out to their customer service before leaving this review, but they were not willing to offer any help. Hence you all are warned now.
Response from Host , Aug 2022
Dear customer, Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry to receive this comment. Our price details are disclosed on the page. This includes: Navajo Nation Permit Fee, Navajo Sales Tax and Booking Brokerage Fee. Window prices also need to pay these two fees. We just have an extra Brokerage Fee, but it lets you plan your trip and time better in advance.
As is known to all, Antelope Canyon is a very popular attraction. Its tickets are often sold out a month in advance. So we believe that buying tickets in advance is one of the best choices during the trip.
Best regards,
Overall amazing experience!

Our guide was Natasha & she was fabulous! She walked us through how to change our camera settings on our phones to get the most vibrant photos, offered to take photos for us, used a shovel to throw sand in the air during prime time so you can see the light reflect off the particles, asked other people in the group to move out of the way so we could get a good shot, etc.

Being mandated to wear masks outdoors in 108 degree heat almost had us cancel, but prayerfully we reconsidered and were rewarded by our choice. It was spectacular and cool in the canyon. Our guide Natasha was amazing. Once in a lifetime experience but make sure you have an excellent camera on your phone or reg camera, as what is seen through the lens is not visible to the eye and vice versa. Also, buy a cooling towel (antibacterial and breathable) to use as a mask as you wet it and it keeps you cool. I would not have made it otherwise as breathing through the other masks in that heat I would have passed out.
Awesome

We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
