Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Make your own way to the pier near Oslo City Hall, and step aboard your handsome wooden sail boat. It’s an evening cruise, so make sure you dress for the chilly evening temperatures. Blankets are available on board if you’re really feeling the cold.

Then, set sail around Oslo Fjord, the glistening body of water that’s flanked by glorious countryside as well as the city sights. Sail past Oslo Opera House and Akershus Fortress, and then meander through the pretty islets that pepper the fjord.

As you cruise, enjoy a tasty snack of shrimps with bread. Then, after three hours on the water, return to the start point where your evening cruise ends.

Delightful evening

Peaceful trip through beautiful landscape on a perfect evening. I liked the way the engine was stopped and we drifted. More shrimps than I could eat and it distracted from the view. But all very good.

I had previously taken the 2 hour boat tour which was at the end to the 7 hour HHK Grand Tour, and during that tour was given lots of information and history, which I liked. So saying that, I was able to just sit back on this venture and just “cruise” and enjoy this tour because I was already aware of all the history and background of what I was seeing and on this it is just a cruise, not a tour. It was in the evening and the weather was beautiful and the sites were absolutely lovely! The shrimp was a nice treat! Some people complained of the size, but it’s all you can eat, so if you want more, just get more. I preferred to just open a bunch (they are peel and eat) and put them in a large lettuce leaf (those are provided along with bread) pour some of the spicy sauce from the packet, wrap it up and have a shrimp lettuce wrap that tasted divine! I ate about 4 of those. Quite yummy with a couple glasses of white wine, which you can purchase at the bar. This was a very lovely tour and I would definitely recommend, especially if you already know the history and just want to relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery and the company.

Not what expected

As I was traveling with two teenagers this tour was truly meant for 40+ ages people. The crew gave no info other than a safety preserver talk, where to find the bar, and when the shrimp was to be served. You take the boat out one hour, hang out there, eat shrimp, and head back. If you’re looking to just get out on the water, then this is for you. If you want to see or hear about anything, find another tour

Thanks for sharing. You are correct - there is no info on the tour. No guiding,- wonder where you were informed about this? Please let us know. Its a pure "shrimp-dinner" experience. Our 1,5 hr city cruise or the 2 hr sightseeing tour are all guided, all day. All the best Båtservice Team.

It was a fun evening cruising the Oslo Fjord finishing with a city cruise as the sun was setting. Seating is close on life vest containers back-to-back. Call ahead to request a table with chairs since they are limited. Bar service onboard, and plenty of shrimp...with the heads on.

This trip was fantastic. It was so much fun to travel on this ship and watch the landscape of Oslo Fjord slide by. The crew were great, very friendly and efficient. I loved the meal of shrimp, but my boyfriend doesn't eat shrimp so there was nothing for him. We lucked out and had a beautiful day for our trip. If the weather had not been so good, the trip could have been very cold. The ship did provide blankets.

Did this tour with my mom and my son on May 17, which is a very busy holiday in Oslo! It was a wonderful relaxing way to unwind after a very long day of parades. Bring a jacket, it can be cool. The all you can eat shrimp was very delicious and a great way to fill up a teenager's appetite. We bought beer/wine on board normal Norwegian prices and enjoyed a pleasant cruise.

Best way to celebrate my60th birthday! Excellent food wine and music. A shame the lady sitting next to us lit a cigarette during our meal. What lax laws Scandinavia has about smoking in public. Watch out for law suits in the future regarding passive smoking

A bit of a mistake for us, this was aimed at people who wanted to eat shrimp of which there were plenty. There was no commentary and we amused ourselves by watching people - something that we could have done anywhere
