Absolutely Beautiful

I was an emotional wreck. I cried like a baby. All those innocent lives. It just rocked me to the core. And seeing the oil slick, this will stay with me forever. The whole place was just beautiful. Nice and clean. The Navy men were helpful and respectful.

Listening to Jamie Lee Curtis giving the details of what we were seeing and reliving. Loved the voices of the men telling their stories.

Loved the narrated tour. It was super informative. The pictures and artifacts were amazing. Sad that we couldn’t go out to the Arizona because of repairs being made.

Privilege to visit AZ Memorial

Reading the memorial's history, seeing the model of AZ Memorial, viewing actual memorial from afar & paying homage to those entombed & those who died fighting in Pearl Harbor.

We were disappointed as we couldn't get to the actual site. The other areas were OK. The park rangers can use some courtesy and politeness training.

Not what we thought!
Jennifer_W

When we arrived, we were told these passes were NOT what we thought. The lady at the desk said “this happens all the time!” This is not a ticket to tour the memorial. You have to buy that separately. And, entrance to the Pearl Harbor memorial is free! All you get with this “ticket” is a set of headphones with someone reading the signs to you…

It is a great half a day trip for anyone who loves history! Don't forget to reserve your ferry/shuttle to the USS Arizona memorial. Also, keep aside another couple of hours if you are visiting the Bowfin as well.

It’s Important to visit places like these to not only show your appreciation and respect for those who have sacrificed their lives for our country, but to see for yourself the places of rest and it really centers a person. Yo u walk away feeling gratitude. For your life and those you love.
