Great fun
, Mar 2020
This was our 1st luau and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious, the interactive activities were fun for the kids and the host had a sense of humor. The kids loved the entertainment. The only things that would have made it better was if the food was served directly to the table instead of buffet style.

We enjoyed every minute
, Mar 2020
We enjoyed every minute. It’s a very fun experience and my three year old engaged in every little detail. I rightly recommend it, specially if you are traveling with your kids, they do everything to make you feel comfortable and have a good time. The food was amazing too.

The Entertainment Was Amazing! The cast members treated us like family.
, Feb 2020
My husband and I have been to several luau's at other venues and To a Luau was by far the best we've been to. We can't wait to come back in November and bring family to it because it was such top quality. This was smaller in attendees which give the atmosphere of a more intimate "family" setting. The entertainment was top quality. The food was very good. We paid for the VIP seating and it was well worth it. Although we had to drive was across the island from Waikiki, it was well worth the drive and we are still talking about how amazing the luau was.

Aloha Cindy, it brings us so much joy seeing kind words sent our way after a luau. We are glad you found our luau to be worth the drive and the expense. We can't wait to have you back in November! Contact us beforehand so we could get you the best deal on your ticket. Mahalo nui to you and yours :-)

Worth the trip to the North!
, Jan 2020
This Luau was definitely worth the trip to the North Shore. If you want to have a genuine luau feeling, this is the one for you. They keep it to an intimate guest list of 200, which is small for luaus. I would suggest definitely getting at least Gold tier as silver tier you're in the back row of tables and it's not the greatest for taking pictures or even seeing above people's heads for that matter. Platinum status gets you tables down near the stage but it's not necessary. Gold tier is a few rows back but is elevated so you can even argue you get a better view.

Such a lovely and entertaining evening
, Oct 2019
I loved learning about Polynesian culture and all the differences between the islands. Seeing all the traditional clothing and dances was absolutely amazing. It was great that the group was quite small, and it truly did feel quite homey and intimate. The host was great and funny, and kept making us feel as though we really were part of his family. The food was also lovely. I loved that the luau ticket also included access to Waimea Valley - I would defenitely recommend to go with enough time to walk to the falls and have a look at the historical sites along the way! The activities at the start of the evening were very interesting and fun, however I would have liked a bit more time to look around at all of them. Everyone was so friendly and you leave feeling so happy and satisfied.

Incredible Luau on North Shore
, Aug 2019
When I saw the amount of 5 star reviews, I kind of knew this was going to be good. We were not at all disappointed. The intimate setting allows you to honestly feel like family, and the hands on cultural activities, excellent buffet dinner, and incredible show were all top notch. This is quite expensive, but it was worth every penny. Even our high school and college aged sons enjoyed this luau and it quickly became the best thing we did on Oahu. Mahalo.

Amazing cultural experience!
, Aug 2019
Our family will remember this interactive Luau forever. We were able to peel the husk off of coconuts, then crack open and scrape out the coconut meat, peel apple-bananas and bread fruit, and wrap taro-root leaves into a cup with coconut milk poured inside. We then watched as they pressed the coconut meat into coconut milk, poured it into the coconut shells we had just cracked and scraped the meat out of, along with some fish (this made a delicious dip for the bread fruit). All of this was then placed on the rocks of an imu oven. Several of the men then demonstrated how they climb to the top of the coconut trees, followed by a traditional ceremony demonstrating how villages would welcome visitors. This was all before or meal which was delicious. The best pork I have ever eaten, and good food all around. Our family highly recommends this Luau, it was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation!

Incredible experience!

The Tao Luau was incredible! The demonstrations are interactive, the food was great, and the show was beautiful and exciting! We felt like family among this small group of about 200 (yes, that’s a small luau compared to others on the island) and we were celebrated as it was our honeymoon and my wife was chosen from the crowd to be “High Chief” for the night. Luau tickets included access to Waimea Valley which is typically $18 per adult- a great value. We can’t recommend Tao Luau enough! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
