Nu’uanu Pali
The Nuuanu Pali State Wayside is a lookout above the Pali Highway tunnels where you’re treated to a panoramic view of Oahu's Windward side with sweeping views of Kaneohe, Kaneohe Bay and Kailua. It’s also well known for strong tradewinds, forming a natural wind tunnel of sorts. It was here in 1795 that Kamehameha The Great conquered the island of Oahu in one of the bloodiest battles in Hawaiian history. Led by Kalanikupule, the defenders of Oahu were driven back up into the valley where they were trapped above the cliff. More than 400 of Kalanikupule's soldiers were driven off the edge of the cliff to their deaths 1,000 feet below.

It was established on June 7, 1968, to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. The Byodo-In Temple in O'ahu is a smaller-scale replica of the over 950-year-old Byodo-in Temple, a United Nations World Heritage Site in Uji, Japan. The Byodo-In Temple is a non-practicing Buddhist temple which welcomes people of all faiths to worship, meditate or simply appreciate its beauty.

We had a great guide Leo C. Tons of information and very entertaining. Several stops for pictures. Pearl Harbor is something everyone needs to experience. Long day but well worth it.
What a Perfect Tour and Tour Operator!

We thought this tour might be too much or too tiring but really wanted to make the most of our time in Hawaii so we booked this tour. I am SO GLAD we did!!! Leo was beyond attentive and professional AND he made the tour really fun! We never felt rushed and he gave us so much information as we went along. He not only provided a whole lot of information regarding history and facts, he also gave us tips on where the restrooms were at the sites we visited, what the menu was, which lines were best to stand in, and what spots to stand in to see the areas better! We arrived back to our hotel after a full day of touring feeling like we just made a whole lot of new friends, saw some great sights, and feeling like we completely enjoyed our day! Thanks Leo! This tour, with you in the lead, was the highlight of our vacation!!

The tour was great. What made it spectacular was our guide Ernie. He courteous, informative, and funny. He did not make us feel like cattle but made it an individual experience. It was a great way to spend the day.

The driver, Tommy, was very informative. Not sure sure how he was able to talk for so many hours. Loved Pearl Harbor and pineapple plantation. We stopped to have lunch at Kualoa Ranch. It’s a great overview, but don’t expect to spend too much time at every stop.
Not enough stops or information

Very disappointed in quality of tour. Drivers didn't provide information about the stops. Only stopped at commercial locations with exception of Pearl Harbor, temple and lookout. Did drive by of North Shore without stopping at all. Would not recommend this tour.

I'm so happy to chose this tour. I was traveling alone and the lady guide make us feel like family, she's native from Hawaii so she really knows what she is talking about, I do recommend this tour, there are others out there, but in my opinion this is the best.

Was an interesting trip. I liked the Japanese temple and the sights of the island. I hoped to have spent more time at Dole. It was insanely crowded there when we arrived. There was no time to get a pineapple treat since the lines were so insane. I wished it would have been planned so that it was less crowded there. We had lunch at a ranch which was ok as well. Driver was knowledgeable. Maybe a bit too chatty at times. He was nice. We had a good time. Pearl Harbor was interesting
