On this thrilling Oahu jet ski rental, transfer from your Waikiki hotel to the waters of Maunalua Bay, where you’ll hop on a powerful Yamaha jet ski for 30 minutes of fun. Life jackets are included with this Waikiki jet ski rental, and you can choose from a single or double ski for speeding through the turquoise waters. All the necessary gear is included — as is round-trip transport — so just bring a bathing suit, a sense of adventure, and prepare to smile and get wet!
  • 30-minute jet ski rental with transport from Waikiki
  • Listen to a comprehensive safety briefing before taking to the water
  • Zoom through the waters of Maunalua Bay aboard a Yamaha jet ski
  • Speed around the gentle waves, under the watchful eyes of the coast guards
  • Admire the breathtaking Oahu scenery, seeing Hawai’i Kai coastline and the Ko'olau Mountains
Your Oahu jet ski rental begins with pickup at your Waikiki hotel, where you’ll transfer by minivan to Hawaii Kai about 20 minutes away. Once you’ve arrived at Maunalua Bay, you’ll receive a 10-minute safety briefing about how to handle the jet ski, before changing in to your bathing suit and clipping into a life jacket.

From there, it’s a short ride offshore to a barge where the Yamaha jet skis are docked, and whether you choose a single or double ski for jet skiing on Oahu, you’ll soon be hearing the rev of the engine and feeling the wind on your face. The waters here in Maunalua Bay are frequently flat and calm, and are perfect for high-speed, white water patterns and speeding around the bay. Or, if you’d prefer to cruise at a slower speed and motor along the coast, you can admire some of Oahu’s nicest homes that line the Hawaii Kai shoreline, and gaze up at the Ko’olau Mountains and nearby Koko Head Crater.

Finally, after 30 minutes of racing through the turquoise Hawaii Kai waters, return to the barge to disembark and enjoy the ride to the beach. Your Oahu jet ski rental ends on the sandy shoreline of Maunalua Bay, before transferring back for the short ride to your Waikiki hotel.

This tour is basically a half-hour...

This tour is basically a half-hour jet ski to go around and around in circles on an area of about half a mile and that's it. This company charges for every single extras that you could imagine. For example, they tell you that you should wear goggles because the salt water will get in your eyes which was true but they goggles cost a 5 extra. They also charged my wife 30 to ride with us to the base where the jet skis were, even if she didn't ride the jet ski--and the platform was half-empty! They also didn't even give me my 30 minutes. Instead, they stopped me at about 28 minutes--yes, I did start my stop watch right at the beginning. In addition, this company seemed to cater to mostly Japanese tourists, which is okay, except the ladies at the front desk didn't seem to have a strong command of the English language, which ended up precluding my communication with them regarding several aspects of the tour. Finally, they also try to sell you a very very expensive video and picture sets from a GoPro camera at the end of the tour, which we didn't by, of course. I remember taking a real jet ski tour in St. Thomas last spring, where they took us out to see most of the island that was a much, much better jet ski experience--and at a much more reasonable price, by the way. All in all, if you're looking for a fun jet ski experience in Hawaii, look somewhere else...
