CHIEF'S Luau

From start to finish it was highly enjoyable. The bus driver was informative and told a few funny Dad jokes on our way to the Luau. Once there were quickly shepherded into our assigned sitting areas. The Chief also had some Dad jokes, and the performances were spectacular. Loved the food, though the "Poi" for me left much to be desired. On the drive back the same driver kept the atmosphere calm and quiet allowing those who were tired to take a nap.

Food was average. Felt like we were rushed thru it. No time to have a couple of drinks and relax before the show. Performance was great.

Food and service need improvement.

This is the second luau I’ve attended with two separate vendors. When compared to the other luau I attended, the Chief’s Luau was average at best. It was very disorganized. From entering the luau to getting your food, I felt like the vendor didn’t have their act together. The check-in desk weren’t in sync with the staff seating guests so were told to go in one direction then told to wait to get inside. The food line was a disaster. The selection of food was limited. If you wanted to actually choose what you wanted to eat vs a plate with everything slapped on it, you were subjected to waiting quite a while to eat. The fish left a lot to be desired. The pork was extremely salty. The first luau I attended, guests were treated to the actual emu pork that was prepared and we experienced the ceremonial presentation of the pork. At the Chief’s luau you got pork from a cafeteria style dish. The actual performance portion of the Chief’s Luau was quite good. If the food and service could be improved, I’d happily add another star to my review.

Experience at Chief’s Luau!

Luau performance was awesome. Very entertaining! However, price points for Luau with food, entertainment, etc was overpriced based on wait time, ambiance, souvenir options, there was also a mix up with our pre purchased tickets. Apparently, we were supposed to be bussed to the luau, but we drove there, so we waited in line at least 20 to 30 minutes to receive our tickets for the luau unbeknownst to us we could’ve checked in earlier with those who arrived via bus transportation. This was a burden for us especially since we purchased our tickets a week in advance before we arrived to Hawaii.
