Niagara-on-the-Lake Small Group Wine Tour with Lunch

Rick the driver was amazing. He made the trip fun. Unfortunately, there were too many other issues that overshadowed 1. The bus was an old handicap bus that was clearly bought at auction. The seals in the windows we’re gone, which made it nearly impossible to see outside. 2. The restaurant food was tasty, but they were clearly not prepared to serve the 18 of us at once. The orders were mixed and drinks did not come until the end of the meal. 3. 7 hours for 5 wineries. There are wineries everywhere. We would go to one, spend 30 mins, then travel 30 + minutes to get to the next one. Too much time on the bus. We were in Niagara, and drove to Lincoln/St Catharines. The buzz was gone by the time that we would get to the next winery. Not sure if that was by design or not, but it wasn’t pleasant. 4. The last winery was closed. We were there on schedule, and no go. Driver Rick did an amazing job finding us another place to go, but at one point, we were stopped on a major highway, not knowing where to go next. It was a long day. Fun, but long. Look for a smaller tour.

The wine tour was a good experience and the tour guide we had was fantastic. We had a party of 11 celebrating my birthday. The disappointing aspect was the lunch and the post tour customer service. We waited 1h and 30mins before leaving to continue the tour with no lunch served. Spent additional money at fast food restaurants. Spent over $2k on the tour and had to go back and forth with Viator for a month to be refunded the lunch we didn't receive. They only refunded us $103.99 and refused any further comp. Absolute nightmare trying to get this resolved as once the payment was received customer service ended.

Chris was a wonderful tour guide! Funny and knowledgeable about wine. The only issue was the lunch location which was terribly slow. some members of the tour had to take their lunch to go and eat on the bus even though our lunch was preordered the day before.

Chris was there at our hotel at 10:00 sharp to pick us up. I felt this was outstanding since we didn't book until 6 PM the previous day. On the way to the vineyards we found his narrative on the history of wine-making in the area very interesting, as well as his insight into the tastings, of which there were five. We were the only "foreigners" on the tour, but Chris treated us equally well, even being from the "wild" state of Connecticut, lol. The only downside was the wait for our pre-ordered meal, though the food was just fine when we finally ate. All-in-all a wonderful experience, the nine of us on the tour were feeling just fine at the end.

Very good. Chris is a high energy tour guide, lovrd it!!!!! The bus is too bumpy of a ride. But I would still reccomend.

We had a great time on the wine tour! Our bus driver, Adrienne, was awesome - she really went above and beyond to make our day fun! The 5 wineries that we visited were excellent and the lunch was tasty! Our only complaint would be the amount of time driving/on the bus going to each winery- but we knew that when booking. Overall, great tour!

The winery’s were great but everything was sub par. We were told a pick up time of 9:15 we didn’t get picked up until 9:45 I called texted and email to find out what was happening but got no response ever. My other big problem was lunch. It was NOT what was described in the confirmation and the location was horrible we were expected to sit on the side of the highway in eating dirt blown at us by traffic for 2 hours!!! Very dissatisfied!

I did this tour in August with my mother and sister. We had a fantastic time visiting Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. Our tour guide and driver Chris was EXCELLENT!!!! He was courteous and funny and very knowledgeable about the wineries we went to and wine in general. He was also very informative about the history of Niagara on the Lake. We got to visit 5 wineries where we sampled many..... many.....many different wines. I also loved that Chris took us to some smaller boutique and family run wineries that we would have never ventured to on our own. The tour also included a stop for lunch. Although lunch was good, the service was very slow and despite pre ordering our meal we did not receive our food until 10 minutes before we had to leave the restaurant and were very rushed to eat (this being the only reason I did not give the tour 5 stars). But like I said, the food was good and this slight hiccup did not over shadow the overall experience of the tour. All in all it was a wonderful tour and I would highly recommend it.

Good tour! Our driver was lovely and she was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Perridiso winery was the best we had all day. Very personable and knowledgeable owner. Provided 3-4 wine samples at each stop! Only complaint was the amount of driving all day. Would be much better if the chosen wineries were closer together. Lunch was preordered from a restaurant (88 South) and was great!
