Not for non art majors
, Feb 2020
With so many beautiful pieces of art in the newly renovated MoMA, we spent over an hour in only four rooms looking at paint splatters and rejects from the junk yard. The guide needs to do a better job figuring out when the group is not in the history aspect of the pieces as he is. If you're a modern art history major, it is definitely worth it. If you just want to view pieces from masters like Picasso, save your time and money and visit it on your own.

Jessie was a nice person, she led us through the museum and helped us to know how to find our way back to see more of the thing we cared about, but she was very low energy, and really didn't have much to offer in the way of explaining individual pieces or the impact of artistic movements. Definitely seriously overpriced.

Thanks for leaving a review on our "Mornings at MoMA" experience. This tour is intended to be an exclusive introduction to our collection before the museum opens to the general public, and we're sorry to hear it did not meet your expectations. In the future, we recommend contacting MoMA to book a private tour that can be customized to your interests.

Time Efficient Way to See the Best of MoMA
, Jan 2020
I'm not an art aficionado but like going to museums, seeing famous pieces and hearing stories about the artists. This was the perfect way for me to see MoMA. Only 14 people were in our group and we had the most exclusive galleries all to ourselves for an hour. The docent was engaging, pleasant and knowledgeable. After 90 minutes, we felt like it had been a good trip to the museum and went for brunch.

See MOMA without the crowds!
, Jan 2020
Seeing such iconic paintings in a new environment is thrilling. Seeing anything without jostling for a clear view is a treat.

Not worth the cost. Guide not very articulate. Boring and self centered. Was not interesting. I knew as much about collection as she did. Thought we would see more about new additions. Nothing included about that. Will never do this again.

Best experience to be at the MOMA before it opens it was really interesting all the things we learn about the museum and of some paintings and also the curator part that it is so important, but is hard to appreciate all the work in just one view. My son who is 10 really enjoy this visit

Fabulous tour

Our tour guide was exceptionally well spoken and knowledgeable. Only complaint is that the tour was not long enough - we needed all day with her! Would definitely recommend and do again.

A tour of the heart of their collection on the 5th floor (old building, it closed temporarily the day after we took this tour). It's a small group with guide so you learn about the artwork & have an opportunity to take photos of your favorites without crowds of people. Highly recommended.

Well worth the got a closer view of famous paintings! Our guide was great at sharing history and messages of artworks...& then you could either revisit works covered or continue on your own tour after the hour of guided tour.
