To sum it up

Plan out ahead of time so you can enjoy as many attractions as possible. Empire State building was the easiest. Have to Start at M&M. Need to start early if u want to hop on and off cause bus only comes by once per hour. Top view is the best, might need a light jacket. Wonderful experience, very informative and friendly staff.

The New York pass

, Sep 2019
Purchased the 5 day pass and did an itinery before leaving for NYC, pre-booking two Ride trips and a wall street walking tour. It was a full-on trip and we saved a lot of money. It would of cost 442.00 dollars each based on everything we did, so for a family of 4 adults it definitely was worth the money. Purchasing it from Viator did save us some money. Once I got the tickets I screen shot them to a folder on my photos and had no problems. I did take a paper copy, just in case. Would definitely recommend if you plan ahead.

Newyork pass helped to plan most of the vacation spots we wanted was able to do , could be even better if tickets were issued before to help not to stand in line at each place of interest

Quite good pass

The NY Pass obtained through Viator worked well. Purchase through Viator was a little bit less expensive comparing to direct purchase so we went for it. The positive side was that the thighs worked as advertised and the attractions were fine. in fact, we saved a lot of money. On the negative side, "skipping the line", at least in case of Empire State Building is quite an overstatement as we were able to skip only the line for ticket purchase, which is approximately 1/10 of the total queue (so almost no saving of time), Also, when the passes are purchased through Viator cannot be synced to NY Pass application in mobile phone, so we needed to use the paper ones (not that big problem though).

Thank you for taking the time to review The New York Pass. We appreciate all of the feedback. While you're able to utilize Fast Track for the ticket line, there are still Security check lines that you will need to stand in. We apologize for any confusion.

Great Value for a Busy Traveller
Matthew_D
, May 2019
With the 5-day pass I visited 29 places whose total retail was $701, so the pass worked great for me--admittedly many of the places I wouldn't have visited without a pass. It helps to plan in advance based on locality and which places are open late. It also takes skill to deal with places that get mobbed with huge lines or need same-day timed tickets. Buying via Viator is slightly less expensive than buying direct, but the tradeoff is it's non-refundable and I couldn't add the pass to the iPhone app. I recommend printing the bar code instead of presenting the bar code on your phone--it's easier for vendors to scan and there's no risk of the cashier dropping your phone.

We were in NYC for 6 nights and so used the 6 day pass. We made the money back on it, but only just. It didn’t seem to make any queue time savings either, but did save the bother of carrying cash. Think about what you want to see and then decide. For us, it was worth it.

We chose the fast track access for our New York Pass and it was a great value for us. Highly recommend! Read the literature and make sure if you do the hop on hop off bus tour to get tickets the morning of the day you are going to do that activity!

The bus trip from Times Square to...
Kenneth C
, Apr 2018
The bus trip from Times Square to Battery park was great and the tour guide infomative BUT we did not save any time standing in line, Even though we had these tickets we still had to stand in every line to get the actual tickets for the events we wanted to see. It was a big waste of funds and NO saving in time.
