Why Travelers Choose This Tour

See the sights of New York Harbor in a conveniently short time, at a time that fits you.
Prebook your ticket to save time while you’re in Manhattan, choosing from a range of departure times and if you wish, selecting an optional upgrade to add admission to either one or three NYC attractions, such as the 9/11 Museum Rock or One World Observatory.

On the day, make your own way to Manhattan’s Pier 78 at West 38th Street and 12th Avenue; and step aboard your sightseeing boat. Find a comfortable spot, either on the climate-controlled indoor deck—complete with large viewing windows—or the open-air, upper deck.

Then, drink in the views as you glide down the Hudson River. Gaze over Manhattan’s skyline and spot signature sights such as One World Trade Center, the United Nations Headquarters, the Empire State Building, the South Street Seaport, the Chrysler Building, Brooklyn Bridge, and more. As you admire the vistas, hear their history and get pointers on the sights from an on-board guide.

Enter New York City Harbor and sail close up to the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island and Ellis Island—hearing stories of both these iconic locations as you snap your photos.

Your cruise finishes at the original departure point.

Not many customers on the boat, last run of the day and low season, which meant we could pick the seats with the best view. The captain was jolly, his commentary fitted in nicely as we cruised along. If you go out on the Hudson this time of year, wrap up warm, it gets chilly & windy out on the water! The skyline from the water is impressive, a different and wide angle view

Don't miss it

The weather outside was frightful...it was raining and gloomy, but we were tucked in inside, and were able to see through the boat's huge windows, so don't let bad weather keep you away. On a nice day, you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The tour was 90 minutes long, and the narration was not only informative, but also fun, with quite a bit of history thrown in for good measure. We went on the last tour of the day so we could see it all in daylight, but return after dark so we could enjoy the lights on the shores.

Well organised and easy to find the pier, plenty of staff around to ask any questions. The boat was very big so plenty of places to sit inside and outside and not over crowded. The tour guide was also very good.

The ship was way too crowded and it was difficult to see the landmarks. The gentleman doing the narration was great but it was hard to hear him. The boat’s sound system is totally inadequate. We were mostly disappointed and would not take this cruise again.

George Jay was our narrator and he is an outstanding historian of NYC and the remainder of the US. Thoroughly enjoyed this trip on the perfect weather day.

Getting to the dock on foot was more of an exercise than expected due to location and street closures. The boat itself looked bigger than what I expected in the picture, which to me was a negative. Very lengthy stop in lower Manhattan where people get on and off which isn’t really touring time in my opinion. The process of getting your tickets despite having a prepaid voucher was horrendous. They should work on a better process or have more than one person working during peak periods. It seemed like a good price but think we may have saved bundling with other offerings. It appeared that many individuals received free with purchase of a hop on hop off bus tour. Despite the criticisms, we had a gorgeous day, a knowledgeable and helpful tour guide and awesome views of lower Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty.

The Worst Tour Ever

My mom, husband, grandson and I walked miles to get on this tour. After my 75 y/0 mother was essentially pulled up the outrageous plank that went straight up. We sat on 2nd floor, direct left on benches. We stop at the 911 exhibit and 700 CHINESE JUMOED THST BOAT. We were pushed, crotches in our face while they tried to take pics. Pushed, stepped on, yelled at, etc. AWFUL TOUR! I WAS MAD BEYOND MAD. We couldn't hear the guide with all of the noise Long before we docked 100's of chinese fought to get off the boat first. WHY IN THE HELL DIDNT YOU TAKE THEM ON A PRIVATE TOUR??!!!! I AM planning on filing a complaint with the appropriate agencies and entities. This was awful and frankly we felt violated.

I would not recommend this tour at all I spoke on the phone to Mrs April She confirmed and charged a 1.30 hr tour departure time at 13 hrs from Pier 78 on April 16th for 5 passengers We got there 12.30 to find out that the tour does not exist since last year. Had to waste precious NYC time sitting there until 2 pm On top of that the boat stopped for 15 minutes at Battery Park to allow too many passengers to board. On the speaker they even joked and assured there were enough life jackets for everyone I was told it was a tour around Manhattan but we never reached the East River Sent email to Viator on the following day but never got an answer

Beautiful tour on the water & informative, the sound system was terrible & organization was lacking. Long lines without clear direction. It was very affordable but will probably not choose to do this again.

There was no narrator on board which was to be part of the trip. We also didn’t go under the Brooklyn bridge as promised.
