Learn about and fall in love with this lush landmark, exploring the many bridges, fountains, and sculptures throughout the park while learning about its history and design from an experienced guide.

Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with almost 40 million visitors each year. It’s also one of the most filmed locations in the world. In fact, over 300 movies have scenes within the park, from 'Romeo and Juliet' in 1908 to 'The Avengers' in 2011 and beyond. Some of the cinematic highlights on this walking tour include the Boathouse Café from 'Sex and the City' and 'When Harry Met Sally,' the Bandshell in 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s' and 'Kramer vs. Kramer,' the pond from 'Home Alone 2,' Tavern on the Green from 'Wall Street' and 'Ghostbusters,' the Conservatory from 'Stuart Little' and many more.

There are plenty of rest stops along the way where the guide talks about the many interesting details of this National Historic Landmark park. The tour is rated as an easy stroll, with no significant hills to climb. And with no more than 25 people on the tour, it makes for an ideal, personalized experience.

We had a wonderful two our walking tour from a guide who has lived in NYC all his life. He knew the history of every single corner, statue, rock and leaf in the park. Offered to take pictures and gave us tips about NYC not found in guide books. He had a friendly and fun sense of humor that kept everyone interested. Pointed out best picture locations. This tour is one you don’t want to miss! Five Petey Stars and Roll Tide!!!

I went on number of tours in NYC and this was definitely one of the best. Joel was a great guide, both informative and entertaining. He even graced us with a passionate rendition of one of the Bard's soliloquies in the Shakespeare section of the Park. Highly recommended!

An OK walk. A very knowledgeable...

An OK walk. A very knowledgeable guide who tended to mumble and forget that his loudspeaker device did not count for much in the bustle of the main NYC roads before getting to the park. Joel ? clearly feels he knows more than other official guides as he puts it and indeed clearly knows his stuff. However, there is an art to being a guide and that is firstly remembering that your visitors may not speak the language very well but are just as interested as any others in what you are saying - so SLOW IT DOWN, JOEL if you want us to appreciate that knowledge. For the same foreigner reason, leaving the group at Strawberry Fields after all of us leaving HIM a tip, of course! and expecting us to somehow make our way back to where we wanted to go is not easy for people who do not really follow instructions like Yeah, just make your way to Columbus with a left out of the park when you are actually in the middle of it. Leaving all of us near a metro station or offering to show us on the map would have been more helpful.
