The service was excellent. Both the tour guy (Andriy) and the bus driver (Herbert) were very nice and explained everything in detail. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Totally recommend!
Took this organized trip in early January 2020. Booking was easy and efficient, we left NYC at 7am from a fairly easy spot to find in the city. Bus ride was made much easier with appropriately placed breaks and pull overs, the driver Harold was a kind, patient man and an excellent, safe driver. Got to the american side of the falls with enough time to enjoy the bridge view and walk around the park before heading back to the bud to cross the border to Canada, we were able to stop at the duty free as well. We arrived at the hotel (Ramada, exceeded expectations) at a very reasonable hour, around 6:30pm, and were given a free night to roam about and walk to the falls at night. Wake up call the next day was around 7am, left after breakfast to see the falls in day light and take the Journey Behind the Falls tour, as the boat ride is unavailable during winter months. From there, with sufficient timing we left to head back to New York with ample stops for food etc. (bus was also equipped with a restroom), got 1.5 hours at the Tannersville PA outlet for shopping and headed straight back to NYC from there, got back around 7:30pm. All in all this trip is very well thought out, not at all overwhelming or exhausting. Our tour guide,Bruno, also elevated the experience with interesting anecdotes along the way, he was very patient with the large group we were and accommodated whatever individual needs he could. I highly recommend this quick and satisfying trip!
I had no idea that my booking for 4 pax is for ONE room night stay! Why was it not stated anywhere? Also Maid of the Mist was not included because it was closed! Shouldnt we have been informed before that ?
We are very sorry that that you had confusion of this kind.
If one resrvation was made for 4 passenegrs and it is not indicated that family needs two rooms system is asigning only 1 room.
On our website it is clearly stated that Maid of the Mist doesn't operate in Winter due to snow and ice conditions.
We do have winter attraction Juourney Behind the Falls.
Our bus had an accident at the entrance of Watkins Glen and my friend fell from the chair to the floor of the bus hard. As soon as we came home she visited her orthopedic doctor and found her right hip(she had to carry a cane for existing hip problem as everybody knows including bus driver and guide) got worsened and recommende to do the surgery as soon as possible. No claim information given to us. Please send me theInformation regarding the Bus company and Insurance coverage.
