Overview

Partake in a classic New Orleans tradition with a lovely jazz brunch aboard the famous Steamboat Natchez! Journey through time on this cruise along the mighty Mississippi. Stroll the deck, admire the iconic paddlewheel, and snap picturesque shots of the beautiful urban shoreline. This family‐friendly excursion includes a delectable brunch loaded with famous Louisiana dishes and live music from a local jazz trio.
  • Sunday brunch cruise in New Orleans aboard the Steamboat Natchez
  • Take a scenic cruise along the Mississippi River on a traditional paddle-wheel boat
  • Admire views of the city skyline from the spacious decks or indoor cabin
  • Enjoy jazz entertainment from a live trio band
  • Sit down to a wonderful buffet brunch of Louisiana favorites such as Creole shrimp, grits and bread pudding
Choose a morning or afternoon cruise time for your Sunday jazz brunch and head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter to board the beautiful Steamboat Natchez. This paddlewheel ship – one of the last of its kind in New Orleans – is the ninth steamer to bear the name Natchez. Fun for all, boat enthusiasts will particularly enjoy viewing the boat’s vintage decor, such as the museum‐quality engine room.

Take a promenade along the deck as the Natchez begins the float along the Mississippi River. Then find a seat in the cabin or on the outside deck, where you can admire unobstructed views of the striking New Orleans shoreline and soak up some classic jazz tunes performed by a local trio.

When whimsy strikes you, head to the brunch buffet and sample an array of sumptuous Louisiana fare from house‐cured ham and cheese grits to Natchez’s signature bread pudding and warm, sugar‐dusted beignets (full menu included below). Coffee and tea are included with your brunch, or you may purchase wine, mimosas, punch and Bloody Marys.

Your river cruise ends back at the departure point in New Orleans with plenty of time to sightsee (and walk off your hearty brunch)!

Note: Pricing is per person and a ‘Cruise with No Brunch’ option is available.

A pleasant must do

We really enjoyed our visit. The staff was very friendly. The tour was informative and pleasant. The salad was unusual but delicious, some of the food was great some was just ok but the dinner experience was fun. There are plenty of opportunities for photos. Definitely worth the $$. My favorite part is that they give you freedom to explore and roam on the boat. We had a party of 6 from 6 yrs. old to 62 yrs. old and everyone enjoyed themselves.

A fantastic morning in the sun spent on the Natchez! Very scenic, atmospheric, & informative as part of the trip is narrated with the history of the local sights along the Mississippi, as well as the freedom to move around the ship & look at the Steam Room engine. Loved it!

The food was excellent! The only thing i would change is the time of day. 2:30 was a bit late for brunch for me.
