Worth the tour

We had a wonderful tour of the Laura Plantation. The presenter with her stories of the family really made the tour. Oak Alley was less enjoyable with too large of a group going through the house

We are glad that you had a great experience at the Laura plantation and we are sorry that you felt that Oak Alley wasn't as great. Unfortunately, we do not own the plantations as it is a separate entity. We only provide the transportation. Thank you for your feedback!

Our guide at Laura Plantation, Rose, was absolutely amazing! What a great story teller. Both plantations were interesting, but my favourite was the Laura Plantations and that is large part due to the amazing story.

This tour provides the opportunity to visit a very beautiful plantation Oak Alley and then proceed to Laura where you gain a real history lesson relating to the early plantation times in the South. Our tour guide at the plantation was incredible. She was very passionate about relating the history and the tragic stories of the family who resided at the plantation. One of the best of many tours taken to plantations in the U.S.

Tours were great but our driver drove way to fast and reckless. Bounced us off our seats numerous times. One of us who has had back surgery had serious discomfort, I personally was jarred so hard my kidneys ached.

The Oak Alley and Laura combo is a good idea money and time wise. Oak Alley offers a breathtaking view because of its magnificent oak trees. That said, since it's very popular is hard to enjoy the visit. The inside tour didn't allow for time to even take a peak of the upstairs rooms which was a disappointment. On the other hand the Laura tour was inspiring and thought provoking. It was a smaller group and our guide Rose was knowledgeable and shared the rich history of the Plantation's inhabitants, including the enslaved. I highly recommend that you visit the Laura Plantation!
