DJ was a wonderful guide, full of knowledge about the history of NOLA including Voodoo, cemetary history, and the history of Treme. A huge bonus was getting recommendations on places to eat and things to go from a local. Very good guide.

DJ was a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. We learned a lot from him. We didn’t know the cemetery wasn’t open to tour and was in the fine print which not many people read. I would have given it 5 stars if not for this. A lot of the cemeteries have a view fence so luckily we got to see inside from the outside.

VOODOO... do you?

Other than our tour guide wearing a bellie shirt, the tour was informative and definitely interesting. We did stop at a voodoo shop and the voodoo museum but we didn't go in. I kinda wanted to spend time at the shop and the museum versus walking by it and expected to go back if you wanted to visit. The cemetery was a little crowded and felt a little rushed but seeing the stone crypts and mausoleums and learning how the dead are processed was cool. I wish the tour was scarier... more stories of voodoo versus the what voodoo is.
