Taste the delicious diversity of Montreal during this 2.5-hour walking tour of the city's thriving culinary scene and the many food-focused retailers in Old Montreal. Whether you're a hardcore foodie or simply looking for a new lens through which to explore this unique Quebec city, this tour is a great option.

Meet your guide in front of the Bank of Montreal. The charming cobblestone streets of Old Montreal will be your setting for the next 2.5 hours, as you wander past the area's many colonial façades and learn about its rich French heritage. This historic district also happens to be the home of some of the city's most delicious boutique food sellers and patisseries, many of which occupy former showrooms and factories dating from the 19th century.

Absorb some history about the area from your guide as you walk. Hear about the longstanding French influence on Montreal's culinary scene, and discover how the World Expo of 1967 played a key role in expanding the palates (and appetites) of Montreal residents. Along the way you'll also sample a variety of tasty foodstuffs, including smoked meat, macaroons, pâtés, and much more. It's the perfect way to satisfy your hunger for knowledge during your visit to Montreal.

The walking tour was interesting and provided tastes of foods unique to Montreal. Stops were quick with not enough time to consider a beverage stronger than water as an accompaniment to the delicacy being enjoyed.

Great guide - too many sweets!

Camille, our guide, was terrific. She was knowledgeable, energetic, & fun. However, out of the five tastings included in this tour three were desserts. There is so much good food in Montreal I wish the tour would offer a greater variety of tastings. I loved the guide, but was disappointed in the offerings.

This was a great tour, a very easy and enjoyable morning with a really knowledgeable and personable guide (thanks Sebastian). We were a small group which was nice so we could take our time and really enjoy the beauty and culture of old Montreal. We started at the Notre Dame Basilica and walked throughout the old town learning about the area and history. We had five stops to sample some famous Montreal or Canadian foods (pate, 'wunderbar', smoked meat, macaroons & ice cream). The places we stopped were beautiful little boutique cafes or shops which would be worth a look even without the food. The tour was a couple of hours long and a nice way to start the day and also learn about other places worth site seeing in Montreal (such as Notre Dame at night has a light show!). Would highly recommend!
