Overview

This outdoor adventure combo from Moab takes you off-roading through Canyonlands National Park, followed by a guided rafting trip on the Colorado River. Your guide introduces you to the scenic natural wonders of Canyonlands' Island in the Sky by 4-wheel drive (4WD), including sections of the Shafer Trail and White Rim Road. Enjoy a buffet lunch before an afternoon rafting the white-water rapids of the mighty river. Admire deep canyons, ancient rock art, fossils and natural stone arches on this day trip, great for all ages.
  • Go off-roading on the White Rim Road and Shafer Trail
  • Explore the scenic mesa of the Island in the Sky district
  • Soak up the river scenery in the Fisher Towers area
  • Includes transportation by 4WD, whitewater rafting, river gear and a buffet lunch by the riverside
Meet your guide in central Moab to start the first portion of your combo adventure, a 4-hour tour of Canyonlands National Park by 4WD. Hop into the vehicle for a thrilling morning drive over rugged terrain to the Island in the Sky. From here, your guide traverses switchbacks to White Rim Road, a 100-mile (160-km) loop situated roughly 1,000 feet (300 meters) below the mesa and the same distance above the Colorado and Green rivers.

Your guide follows a section of the White Rim Road where you're treated to a panoramic vista of Fossil Point before connecting to the Shafer Trail. Listen as your guide shares the human and natural history of Canyonlands, and stop for photo ops of ancient rock art en route to the mesa summit before refueling with a riverside buffet lunch.

Next, you'll descend the canyon to ride the white-water rapids of the Colorado River, including the Fisher Towers area that features soaring canyon walls, giant rock spires and plenty of wildlife. This 4-hour portion of your adventure begins with a safety briefing. Once you're outfitted with a life jacket, climb into an awaiting raft with a river guide who expertly navigates your raft over Class II and III rapids.

Rest assured that sections of calm water follow, where you can relax, take photos (waterproof bag provided) or even swim if temperatures allow. After a fun-filled day off-roading and rafting in this spectacular wilderness, you are returned to Moab where your tour ends.

Great off-road tour!

We loved the 4x4 tour. The landscape is breathtaking, the cars are comfy, and our guide Tyler did a great job. He was incredibly knowledgeable, very personable and professional. The river tour was good as well. Guides were great, but the river wasn’t very exciting- the rapids were like a Disney ride. Beautiful scenery along the river though

Canyonlands Can’t Be Beat!

Our tour guides were great, especially Tyler during the Canyonlands tour! He was so knowledgeable and pointed out a ton of interesting features, history, fun facts about the area. Absolutely majestic! Definitely put the Canyonlands your on your bucket list! The river trip was disappointing since we were looking for white water and this was definitely NOT. The scenery was beautiful and our guides were awesome, but it was a lazy river adventure. Big you are looking for class 3 rapids, which these were not, you need to book a different river trip. This is a FLOAT. Perfect for children and anyone who wants a scenic float.

We had a great time and the white water rafting tour was phenomenal. This is something we should have done all day if we had had the chance as it was spectacular and a once in a lifetime opportunity and our guide was terrific. We took our young family and they had a ball. Highly recommend this.

Awesome tour through the Cantonlqnds with Yancy and Josh! Safe and knowledgeable, the most amazing tour through the mountains since we have been outwest! Then into the river rafting with Kyle and Reed. Again awesome young men that dealt with a mishap so calmly and safely! Can’t say enough about them! Definitely a tour that needs to be on your vacation list! Thank you guys for adding to our our vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Moab because of you guys

Four of us, aged from 9 yr to 70 yr. Perfect choice for us. We did the drive in the morning and the rafting in the afternoon. The guides were very very knowledgeable and showed great empathy to us and the different needs of our party. A special shoutout to Doug and Jonah!

Buzz was the guide for the 4-wheeling part of our day. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the environment giving us a deeper appreciation of its beauty and challenges to its sustainability. Emily was our delightfully refreshing guide on the floating leg of our day. Her enthusiasm and joy for her work gave us the most amazing afternoon on the river.

A bit disappointing based on the description

The Canyonlands Jeep Tour with Tyler was amazing and well worth it. He kept the tour fun and interesting and we were able to stop and take spectacular pictures along the way. The afternoon white water rafting was mediocre at best. The description claims you'll be going over Level 2 and 3 rapids. We had Level 1 and only a few Level 2 rapids. Our guide, Kolton, was great and allowed the kids to swim at different spots along the way. The water level in the Colorado river was low, so not sure if that contributed to it, but we were hoping for a more exciting ride. If I could rate each experience separately I'd give the jeep tour a 5 star and the Colorado River Rafting a 2.5 star. Both guides were excellent.

This tour was great! I know we saw so much more of Canyonlands than we ever would've seen on our own. Buzz was not only fun but very knowledgeable as well! Our raft trip with Tubs was a perfect afternoon activity.

We had wanted to do the full day Canyonlands trip, but thee were not enough of us. The company were very helpful in offering suitable alternative. The jeep trip was stunning. The rafting was nice, A drift rather than white water. It was lovely swimming in the river
