Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Reach remote locations in Arches National Park during the only half-day tour by 4x4 of the park.
Your tour begins in the middle of Moab where you’ll meet your guide, and board the comfortable 4WD vehicle for the 5-mile (8-km) drive to the park. Once inside Arches National Park, your off-roading adventure begins when you leave the road by Doc Williams Point.

More than 2,000 giant sandstone arches are scattered throughout the park, which is the largest collection of naturally occurring arches found anywhere in the world. You’ll also find pinnacles, fins, and rocks along this epic landscape of rich red earth sculpted by time.

If some of this landscape looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen it in the movies. Popular films like Thelma and Louise were shot in portions of the park, as were scenes for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

If you choose the evening tour, there’s a chance you could see a fiery sunset illuminate the red rocks. Once the sun is below the horizon, stars sparkle in one of the darkest skies in the country.

Towards the end of the tour, you’ll leave the park via an old cowboy trail. It’s here where you’ll stop to see fossilized dinosaur tracks stamped into the earth.

Finally, after several hours of backcountry exploring in the southern Utah terrain, your tour finishes in the center of Moab from the same spot where it began.

Don’t use Viator

Customer service was terrible. The company kept moving us around on the schedule. I was actually told by a woman named Angela that Arches is an easy park to see and go see it on my own. I wouldn’t book a tour with Viator if they were the last tour company on earth

This tour was worth every penny, and then some! Our guide, Charlotte was so personable, and made us feel at ease from the moment we met her. In addition, she was extremely knowledgeable, and provided a detailed history of the area. What a way to see Arches National Park.

Back Country Arches Trip

We did the arches tour at sunset and couldn’t have picked a better trip! Our tour guide, Blaine, did an excellent job conveying the history of the park and discussing arch formations while throwing in a lot of humor! We saw a completely different view than most people who visit the park. We loved getting out in the back country and taking a few short walks to see the arches. 10/10 would recommend this trip!

We (my wife, 3 children ages 9,11, 12 and myself ) did the Arches National Park 4x4 with Tyler from NAVTEC Expeditions. Tyler was GREAT- he had lots of knowledge about the geography, the history, and the animal life (past and present) of the park. He was friendly and easy-going, very customer-centric. We could not have had a better time. Thank you Tyler!

CHRIS IS AMAZING! Geology, biology, comedy, off-roading, good people-ing. Our short time in Arches was incredible with Chris! My 13 yo science-kid kept him on his toes and he challenged her with some new ideas. Even recommended books for enrichment. He loves this land and it shows. I only wish I had more than $40 in my pocket for a gratuity because he made the day for us. Thank you Chris! We will be back!!
