Return Details del Duomo, Milano MI, Italy
See the chief sights and landmarks of Milan on this info-packed guided walking tour. With your guide by your side the entire time, you'll be within earshot of the city's fascinating history. Start off at the gorgeous Duomo, a huge and ornate gothic structure and one of the most beautiful churches in the world.

Then stroll over to nearby Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, maybe one of the most aesthetically pleasing shopping malls on the planet. Its impressive 19th-century glass ceiling is worth a look in and of itself. After walking through the Galleria, stop in front of La Scala, the city's main opera house and one of the most renowned in Europe. Built in the late 18th century, La Scala has seen a who's who of famed composers and musicians in the last 200 years.

Head over to the trendy and cool Brera district, crammed with funky boutiques, trendy bars and hip restaurants. Home to the city's Bohemian set, the neighborhood's streets are picturesque and make for a pleasant stroll. Eventually, you'll find yourself at imposing Sforza Castle, where you can take some time to admire the late-medeival fortress.

The last stop and the highlight of the day is your skip-the-line admission to Leonardo de Vinci's The Last Supper. After you breeze past the line, head inside the former food hall of the convent. You get 15 minutes in front of the masterpiece, so use it wisely. Make sure you step back and see the painting in a larger context: that the monks who ate there felt like they were dining with Jesus and his disciples.

After your 15 minutes are over, head outside where the tour concludes.

Please note: The above itinerary is applicable to options departed from Piazza Duomo only. If you select a departure time from Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie , the tour will start at The Last Supper and finish with the walking tour around Piazza del Duomo. Visits inside the Duomo are not possible on Sundays or religious holidays. On these days, a detailed tour will be given from outside of the Duomo
Stop At:
Duomo di Milano
If your time in Milan is limited, or if you want an overview to guide your exploration, this one-day walking tour is the perfect introduction, taking in all the most prominent sights – including guaranteed entry to see Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’. Led by your local, English-speaking guide, you’ll visit some iconic sights and some on the path less travelled. You’ll get to skip the line at Milan Duomo and experience this world-famous cathedral without waiting – unlike the city itself, which waited nearly 600 years for the incredible building to be completed. The tour will pause again so you can admire the medieval Sforza Castle, before delving into the cobbled streets of the Brera district. This is the beating heart of Milan’s social and cultural life, as your guide will explain. You’ll hear about all the famous artists and thinkers that have called Brera home, as well as some more up-to-date recommendations of places to revisit later for a drink or a meal.

Along the way you’ll pass through the cobbled streets of the Brera district where you’ll find the heart of Milan’s social life. Pass By:
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
Our next stop is the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafés, it is often called the drawing room of Milan for its importance as a common meeting point. Passing through the Gallery we arrive at Piazza della Scala, the square which houses the world renowned Scala Theatre – Milan’s Opera House since 1778 which is still in use. Some of the greatest musicians and singers in history have performed here, notably Giuseppe Verdi whose famous operas, such as Falstaff, often premiered in this very theatre.
Stop At:
Il Cenacolo
It all builds to a viewing of Leonardo Da Vinci’s phenomenal mural, ‘The Last Supper’. Often imitated, never bettered, this masterpiece is carefully preserved, and only one group is allowed to view it at a time. This can make tickets a challenge to acquire, but yours are included in this package, along with special Skip the Line Access – so you’re guaranteed your full 15 minutes with the fresco. Listen as your guide points out the details that earn ‘The Last Supper’ its place in the history books. After just one day, you’ll find your relationship to Milan forever changed for the better.

The tour started from Duomo, followed by a city walk to the church for the most famous painting in Milan, the Last Supper. Our tour guide, Barbara was exceptionally good to explain features in the Duomo, city history and unique nature of the city buildings while walking. She was one of the most qualified tour guide I have met. She speaks English very well. She explains each subject very with in-depth knowledge. I appreciate Viator for having such a well qualified tour guides like Barbara. Highly recommend Viator if anyone wants a day tour in Milan.
Great guide and an amazing tour

Your get to see a lot of Milan; When traveling you want to see as many sights as possible: With my tour guide (Elisa) I was able to do just that. I was in Milan for the F1 race weekend and had race events every day that I was there. However I wanted to see some of the history and sights that Milan had to offer. Through this tour I was able to see the Duomo di Milan, Pinacoteca di Brera (w/ Napeolonic Influence), Sforzesco Castle, the Last Supper (@ Santa Maria delle Grazie), Teatro alla Scala and many other sites. Elisa is very pleasant and gives you some good insight into the city of Milan and I definitely would recommend the tour to anyone who is visiting the city, especially if it is your first visit.

Buyer beware

Buyer Beware!! Your was cancelled 2 days prior, I was unable to rebook due to short stay in Milan. Due to the short notice I was not able to buy tickets to enter the museum as they were sold out. I would suggest if booking with this company buy your own skip the line tickets as a plan B, or book with another company.

Our guide has been very helpful and is quite familiar with the history of Milan; some suggestions for some local cafés and restaurants to have drinks/meals turn out to be very helpful.
Better late then never

Our tour guide Katerina we very knowledgeable-she had wonderful historical references and history behind Leonardo’s inspiration. The booking agency cancelled our tour and we missed the phone call -but made up for it by reaching the earlier tour which they helped coordinate . We missed out on the Duomo tour and went by ourselves which was disappointing -Katerina helped to facilitate the last supper tour and gave us tickets to the Duomo so not all was lost -thank you Katerina!!!!
Great guide but a long got walk
, Aug 2021
Lara the guide was great. But this is too long a walk for most people, ie the young and the old. The tour needs to be broken up with two rest stops especially in summer - gelato after the Duomo, drinks in the Castle. I was worried that I would get heatstroke again.
Short on time in Milan
, Aug 2021
We were only in Milan for a day at the end of our two week Italy trip so we wanted to get a quick view of the city and especially see the "Last Supper". It did not disappoint. There were about 8 of us in group and it lasted about 3.5 hours. Our tour guy gave us a lot of information and showed us all the highlights of the city. We were definitely tired at end and were glad it didn't last longer. Legs and brains were tired. But if your time in Milan is limited this is a great way to be able to see a lot in a short amount of time.
A must do tour!
, Aug 2021
The tour guide (Corrado) was so knowledgeable and so interesting to listen to. I really appreciated his calm, quiet demeanor, but with some humor and interesting tidbits. I learned so much about Milan and the Duomo! This was a magnificent tour and one that is a MUST do in Milan!
