Booking fees
Make your own way to the Piazza del Duomo where the spires and towers of Milan's gorgeous cathedral stand tall against the sky. Considered one of the architectural icons of Milan, the Duomo is also one of the largest cathedrals in Europe.

Your package includes a ticket that grants access to all parts of the cathedral, including the terraces, museum, Church of St Gottardo in Corte and the archaeological area plus an elevator pass.

Opt to include an audio guide and hear about the 600-year history of the cathedral and admire panoramic views of the city from more than 150 feet up (45 meters) on the Duomo Terraces, which are made from Candoglia marble. On clear days you can see as far as the Alps and the Apennine Mountains.

Among the 27 halls of the Grande Museo del Duomo, you can take in stained glass windows, tapestries, religious objects and sculptures from the 14th-century Palazzo Reale. Gain a better appreciation of the cultural and spiritual heritage of Milan as you look at the ruins of the Battistero di San Giovanni, which was discovered in 1961 when it was found during excavations. The baptistery was constructed in the 4th century by St. Ambrose and demolished in 1387 to make space for the cathedral.

Finding the piazza wasn’t hard as my hotel was only a 5 min walk; however, the audio guide was inside the Duomo. We didn’t see this until the very end. There was a kiosk outside where the audio guide was supposed to be picked up at but the only signed that it showed was “closed buy tickets online”

A little tricky. To get the audio guide for the rooftop experience and cathedral you must first queue to get into the cathedral. Once you have picked this up you have to exit and then go around the back and queue again for the lift. The views are breathtaking and well worth the price however if you took the lift because you have trouble with steps BEWARE you have to walk all the way down a narrow twisting stairway. No one could pass me so I hurried down the steps and consequently was in agony once I reached the bottom. I was then told there was a special elevator for those with disabilities but no sign of this or warning or anyone to talk to for help before you reach the stairs....

    Steps Even with elevator ride!

We had already had a private tour of the Duomo so bought these tickets for roof to elevator. Though the views were amazing my wife could not complete the rooftop Experiance because she can’t do as many stairs as are still required, even with the elevator ride. This is our 3rd trip to Italy and love every visit. We usually spend 2 or 3 weeks, and take at least 1 or 2 of these self guided tours. This was the first one that was not forthcoming with how many steps up and down were still required. I would not recommend this for people with heart conditions or asthma.

We booked an 8am ticket. The cathedral is not open for visitors until 9am. This would have run us in to our time for another tour. Furthermore the ticket says cathedral AND rooftop tour, but access to the cathedral was not allowed with this ticket.

Turns out everyone that had skip the line tickets had to wait in line.. to skip the line.. unable to bring our stroller on the lift so we just skipped the rooftop all together. Cool being there, not worth the non refundable 60 Euro. However, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly at the Cathedral.

    Quality Time in the Duomo

These tickets worked fine for us. There really isn’t a ‘Skip the Line’ because everyone has to have the Green Pass or Passport/Inoculation check so you have to wait in line anyway. Either way, we purchased the audio tour - note: if you have wireless earbuds/headphones BRING THEM. You can download the same audio tour via app when you enter the cathedral for free. We had to wait a bit for the terraces to open as there was ice on highest level. OBV won’t be a problem in warmer weather. We also went below to see the archeological dig/ old foundation of original baptistery. We spent 4 hours on this tour so the 12:00 entry worked fine. We did notice that the lines were much longer around 2-4 so plan accordingly if you want to spend some extra time

    Bad ticket

I purchased this item. When the ticket arrives it explains that the bar code is bad..thus the hassle of finding someone that day to exchange the ticket for something valid...thus to me that is not a "line skip" pass and they have yet to refund me. I bought another pass right from Duomo instead

There’s quite a lot of restoration work going on inside the cathedral so it can be a bit noisy so if you are looking for somewhere quiet for prayer maybe this is not the place. However the rooftops are well worth a visit as the exterior of the building is awesome.

Because it is a self guided tour, it was so easy to get what we needed from the ticket office. We went straight up to the rooftop and didn’t realize there was a Playlist for highlights up there, so we missed seeing the “monster” gargoyle. But we liked being able to pick and choose while in the cathedral.

    Disappointed - Not as Expected

Be sure you have the Fast Pass version of the elevator ride to the terraces otherwise you'll spend 45 minutes in line waiting for the elevator. Also, be prepared to walk down the 143 steps as the elevator pass DOES NOT include a return trip. Crowded - we are loving these cultural treasures to death. Not for those with limited mobility or health issues.

If you are going to be in Milan, the view from the rooftop of the cathedral is amazing! I recommend using the elevator unless you are used to climbing a lot of stairs. Once you get to the rooftop using the lift, there are additional stairs, so you will still get plenty of exercise. If you schedule the early self-guided tour, be aware that the audio guide equipment is not available until 9:30 a.m.

Poor, misleading, inadequate meeting directions. It took three phone calls to find the right person there in getting proper entry tickets.and then were were misdirected to a museum. The man in the office scribbled on the edge of our viator provided tickets and we had to seek help from officials in the church to gain admittance, after standing in line. Jump the line was not accurate, Would never do this tour again and would not recommend it to any one. Way over priced for very little assistance or information.
