This was actually a nice tour. Had read terrible reviews but that was not our experience. The bus picked us up in a timely manner and the tour guide was outstanding. We traveled around the Miami area and saw enough that we got a taste of the city....and that is what we had wanted since we had just one day. Would have liked a little more time in Little Havanna a lot of people were waiting at the bus so maybe that was just us. Boat part of the tour was only OK. Our guide really didn't say very much. We would coast in front of some famous person's home and he would point it out but that was pretty much it. Certainly there was more to talk about than just that. Anyway....bus tour great; boat tour rather disappointing but overall glad we took the tour.
It was amazing but we were disappointed, but disappointing due tot he fact the Ocean Dr. was closed BUT your company offered to pass by Coconut Grove and Coral Gables.
and another thing was the lunch restaurant, food is not good at all but expensive.
Tour was fun. Boat ride was pretty good. Only part we didn’t appreciate it that we were trapped into eating lunch at their side kick restaurant. We were supposed to have one hour for lunch. But they only gave us about 40 minutes. And we were told if we eat somewhere else we will miss the boat. We didn’t like the food at Largo Grill. Very mediocre food. And they slapped 18% tip automatically. None of this we appreciated. Other than this, the bus tour and boat tour was fun and worth the price. Just the lunch part in between being too short and the restaurant they force you to eat is not worth it.
Needs a better city tour guide. Not enough informative about Miami. Guide needs to have more knowledge. Didn’t understand him half the time due to language...should have it in English so we all understand.
The tour was exactly as advertised. There were several busses leaving and I am not sure which group I ended up with, but the bus started already before the departure time as there was enough people in the bus so be on time at the meeting point.
The live narration was good, it had a good mixture of humour and facts. The stop at the Little Havana was somewhat confusing. The Cuban coffee was mentioned several times but I am not sure at which point and where we should have tasted it. Perhaps it was something that we should have bought ourselves. However, the group leader did take us for a place where we could buy mojitos. Tour guides probably get a commission on the drinks sold. I was there on a Monday, and the bar on the opposite side of the road had Mojito Monday, so I and couple of others whent there instead as mojitos there were 50% cheaper.
There was 45min lunchbreak (at own cost) at Bayside before the cruise started. On the cruise they take more people into the boat that can have a seating place on the deck where there are views, so again, be on time on board to make sure you can see the luxury mansions and villas. The guided tour on the cruise was good and there was perfect opportunity to take a photo of the Miami skyline. After the cruise the bus back to south beach leaves in every 60 min, so it is up to you how long you want to spend at the Bayside before wrapping up the tour.
For a person with only one way to spend on Miami this tour is a good one, leaving time in the afternoon to visit beach for example.
