season were the manatees failed to show themselves to all tour participants. There were a few and they were shy. Your tour mates did see them and had a very different experience than yours. Sadly, your disappointment shares inaccurate information. First, the season is not over. Second, we offer rentals seven days a week. That option is always available. No one is forced to book a tour to see manatees. We have manatees in April and through the summer but with less frequency as temperatures rise. As stated above, we had one tour in early March with just a couple of shy manatees and a couple of customers who were very upset they didn’t see them. That is disappointing for us as well. We try very hard to provide our guests with the best possible experience. However, these are wild herds of manatees, not an aquarium show in a tank with baited animals coaxed to perform behaviors. If you wanted to kayak on your own that is available every day. We even provide best viewing tips to our rental customers, at no cost. We even have flexible cancellation policies, something nearly extinct in Miami. If you are planning a visit, here or anywhere, and have any uncertainties call your local outfitter. I am sorry you didn't see the manatees. Your tour mates did and wrote a very different review. It always alarms me when people write things like Beware. You weren't cheated or misled in any way. Just what warning are you giving folks? A truly experienced kayaker would know that 70 isn't cool (not even by Miami standards) and 10 mph is not windy, it is quite calm. The photos we took of your tour show this to be true. There was one tour, yours, where there were only a couple of manatees and they were shy. This can happen. It is nature. These are wild manatees not an aquarium show. The tour is an interpretive tour. Were you treated poorly, denied information, was the equipment faulty or the service less than polite or helpful? Again, I am sorry you didn't see them. They were in fact there.
