Taste of Downtown Memphis Food Tour

Great way to get your first experience of Memphis and the Beale Street area from a foodie perspective. We got into town around noon and by 2pm we were on our way with this tour. The stops were fun, the food was excellent and our guide was informative and a real pleasure to be with. Definitely would recommend to anyone who likes fun food!

We had a great experience with Taylor as our guide! There only 5 people in our group, which made it great for social distancing. She also gave us the history of Memphis and Beale Street. The different kinds of food were fabulous! We got samples of deep fried cheeseburger, chocolate shake, gator gumbo, fried catfish, cinnamon popcorn, duck fried rice and BBQ pulled pork! There was more than a sampling of food because we didn't go home hungry. We also met Tayor's dad, Harper toward the end of the trip and he gave us the history of BBQ. Tours can be accommodated according to food allergies. If you are still thinking about this trip, just Do It! It is worth every penny!

Very enjoyable tour. Taylor's was a fantastic guide and her knowledge of B8eal Street and Memphis history was very entertaining. Would highly suggest doing this tour and recommend you arrive hungry

Had a great time vising the different venues and tasting the different foods. Got to taste items I probably would not have sought out on our own but were fun to try. Taylor was also a great guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area we visited, Beale street.

Wonderful time on the Taste of downtown food tour. If this is your first visit to Memphis I HIGHLY recommend doing this tour. Taylor and her Dad Harper are so full of wonderful information about the area and the food was delicious. The absolute Best!!!

Taylor was an amazing guide. She knows local businesses which was exactly what we were looking for. They were so good we went back to a couple. Automatic Slims for awesome mac and chhese and brunch and drinks. Front street Deli for wonderful Italian sandwich. Great, easy walking tour.

So fun. So much to eat or taste. Alcohol drinks on your own. But many family choices included. Never had so much fun food and ALL LOCAL FOOD and Memphis originals. Good way to spend your time with a lot of history included.

Would have liked the food to come to the table in individual portions. Sharing a dish/bowl with strangers was a little a awkward. History information was great and guide was friendly and informative.

Our tour guide (Taylor) was informed, pleasant and prompt. We enjoyed all stops and the historic brief on downtown Memphis. It's very apparent that Memphis is working hard to preserve downtown history as well as providing a safe environment for tourists. Would highly recommend this tour.

Started out well but could have ended better. Great guide Taylor, first 3 stops good but ended on burgers deep fried in 100 year old oil -disgusting! Of course it may be because us Brits aren’t used to that but when there were so many alternate burger places this was a huge disappointment. Thank goodness we only got a quarter of one
