A definite must see if you like penguins! There were over 1,000 spotted the night we went. Dress warmly, it gets cool at night.

Great tour. Mac (driver) was timely, provided informative narration of sites viewed, and information for best seating to see the penguins. He also stopped the van upon request to allow for quick wildlife photos of wallabys, geese, and more.

Bad weather but good tour

Driver/ guide was great. Had lots of info about the penguin tour and took us to the Nobbies and other outdoor locations first where we saw kangaroos, wallabies and many birds along with wonderful photo ops. It stormed during the penguin arrival and the crowd was herded back to the gift shop for the all-clear from the storm. We however refused to go back and were able to see the penguins come in and walk up the hills to nest. The rest of the people missed it because they weren’t “released” until it was almost over. If you’re not afraid of some thunder and far-off lightning I would ignore the requests to go back to shelter and stay put in the stands. Otherwise you’ll miss this incredible experience.

Best tour to see the penguins

The trip leaves mid afternoon and focuses on the wildlife not the tourist spots. David was an excellent knowledgable guide who took us to places to see wallabies and kangaroos as well as a beautiful beach. He gave great advice on how long to spend at each location and what to see along with guidance on how early to go and view the penguins. Sadly the penguin parade itself has become a little crowded since I last visited but being advised to wait for the first batch of people to leave and then spend time watching the penguins from the boardwalk was invaluable. This is one trip not to miss and being a small group it is much more personalised with plenty of time for viewing wildlife and getting great photos.

Excellent trip to Phillip Island. Seeing the little penguins enrage from the sea, clamber over the beach rocks, and waddle to their burrows was magical.

Wonderful experience

I picked this tour because I wanted to see the penguins without any other side trips. The express tour fulfilled my expectations. We started later in the afternoon then many of the other tours. The drive down was pleasant and full of information. We stopped at the visitor center and had time to walk the boardwalk. Saw penguins, wallaby and an echidna. We were given excellent tips on the viewing, when to go down etc. Participants had general admission, premier and ultimate tours and collectively we decided the premier was the best viewing option. The best advice was that many people leave shortly after the penguins arrived but this tour stays for the entire hour as penguins emerge in groups. Fabulous to watch them come out of the water, sometimes returning to try again, march across the sand and up the paths. The noise of theirs squawks and communication were wonderful. We really were able to experience the whole parade - it was fantastic. Hundreds of penguins in multiple groups marched home that evening.

Increíble experiencia, el guía muy atento nos dios toda la información y consejos necesarios. Lo único es que si recomiendo adquirir el paso subterráneo, estoy segura que es un plus que vale mucho la pena.
