The trip on the boat was great. However not a lot to do in Williamstown. Maybe because the weather was bad ; - )

Lovely one hour boat trip from Melbourne to Williamstown. So relaxing. Some interesting commentary but not too much. Williamstown Tall Ship Festival amazing. Tour of the restored James Craig, built in 1874.

The trip through the docks

I had a most enjoyable day. The staff without exception were thoughtful, caring and unfailingly cheerful. The P A system wasn’t clear so that I couldn’t understand all of the commentary. Which is a shame. There were people smoking which I believe is unacceptable (Not the least because my friend is asthmatic and smoke can trigger an attack ) In spite of these criticisms I had a lovely day. It’s a very special trip, and I highly recommend it. I am busy planning my next trip. I want my family to experience such a happy day.

Melbourne to Williamstown Ferry Cruise

A great way to get to Williamstown and back from Melbourne. The one hour cruise each way is pleasant and informative. I recommend that one stay in Williamstown for a few hours and enjoy the quietness of the town before returning to the city. The views of Melbourne from the river are impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion.

Comfortable Ride with great views of Melbourne on the water!

Seeing the cruise ship from not too away was great. The port is arranged different to hometown Brisbane and interesting to see it up close. Always look in amazement at the size of those cranes and to see them in action. Love that kind of stuff. Travelling into Melbourne City was a treat as the scenery went from industrial to city living! Loved going under those lil footbridge arches which explains why the ferries are made so flat!

Very disappointing

This excursion was very disappointing. The reasons I have scored it so low is because of the poor sound of the PA system and the terrible English used by the man driving the boat and delivering the commentary. He used too many colloquialisms - my European guests had no idea what he was talking about and I struggled too. This is not acceptable. Also the diesel fumes coming from the boat were rather strong and offensive. We were very glad we only purchased one way tickets to Williamstown.
