We flew around Maui and over to Hawaii...

We flew around Maui and over to Hawaii to see the two volcanoes and the south coast of Hawaii. I signed up because I wanted to see the volcanoes. I was thrilled to see the lava in the active volcano on Hawaii. The 2 pilots, Daniel and Eric, were wonderful. We had a terrific explanation of everything we were seeing, including whales breaching in the ocean on our way back. I was surprised to see the scientific buildings and observatories set up on top of a mountain in Maui and in Hawaii. I recommend this trip to any one who wants a unique view of the mountains and volcanos in Maui and Hawaii.

The view from the plane is tremendous...

The view from the plane is tremendous! The perspective is also much different. For example, you can see where lava flows once occurred and you can see hot lava inside the crater at Kīlauea. We saw the islands in a very short time. It would have taken days on the ground to cover this much.
