Lanai Island Dolphin and Snorkel Cruise from Lahaina Harbor

Staff was super friendly and fun. Full of great information about the island and water life . Would highly recommend and they provide breakfast and lunch.

We had a great day sailing with this crew. It takes about 45 min to get to Lanai from Lahaina. Many whale sightings along the way. From there we snorkeled for about an hour. Lots of fish and a few turtles. On the way back to Maui we saw some dolphins and many more whales. Our second snorkel spot was off of Lahaina (Kids beach). We saw a number of large turtles along with other great sea life. We ended the day with a bit more whale watching. We happened to catch a mother and calf breaching 4-5x less than 0.25 mi from our ship. The crew was fun and helpful. We'd go again.

We very much enjoyed the snorkel cruise with Captain Troy and his crew. The crew was friendly, hardworking and helpful; they kept people safe on and off the boat while still keeping the atmosphere light. The boat was just right for our group of 50, but larger groups would have felt crowded and had a harder time with seating and viewing. It seemed like the snorkel equipment was good and food was decent; merchandise was briefly offered but not in a pushy way, and proceeds help fund marine research in Hawaii. Captain Troy was only able to find one spot to snorkel with some other places too choppy; Manele Bay had clear water, but not the wow factor that we had enjoyed previously in Molokini. We did get to snorkel longer off Lanai to get the full amount of time in the wataer. Unfortunately, we couldn't find spinner dolphins, but did get to see several active whales. Captain Troy was knowledgeable about whales and Lanai, and the information he shared was interesting. If it had been a perfect day I might have given this a 5 star. The 4 star for us was mainly appreciation for Captain Troy and his crew rather than quality of the snorkeling, as the trip was a long one for only one snorkel location and no dolphins, but we felt that the crew did their best to give us a good outing. Republic Parking on Dickenson was recommended by the HOP as the closest parking lot (that allows parking over 3 hours); in the daylight, we saw others that were cheaper if in before 10 am, but they were a little farther away.

The boat broke down and there was no communication from the staff or captain. We then snorkeled off the Lahaina shore so the boat could be fixed. They should’ve just canceled or gave us the option to reschedule. The staff was very rude!

We felt that the trip was worth 3 stars based on swimming with the turtles. The first snorkeling area was not worth traveling over for. We fortunately did have the opportunity to see alot of whales. When you arrive in the am and it is dark and you are not familiar with the area it is so important to know where to park. All the areas close by for parking only offered 3 hours with no option to pay for more. We ended up with a $60.00 parking ticket.

The best part of this tour was we were the only boat at the site. Usually when you do a snorkeling excursion there are lots of other boats and it is crowded. This was great. The boat was average, but the sites were great. The lunch and breakfast were better than average. I was on the tour with a friend and was glad we didn't got to Molokini as it is crowded with too many boats there.

Pretty smooth boat ride to the dive site which was perfect for my husband who often gets seasick (and didn't). Saw lots of fish on the reef then boated to the turtle place, which was magical. The crew was thoughtful and helpful. Would do this again and would bring my grandkids next time! They had a couple of little people and the crew provided boards, life-jackets and stayed with them in the water. Really a good tour.

This cruise was an incredible part of our trip to Maui! We saw a ton of dolphins that come up really close to the boat, and we swam with fish and turtles! The crew is very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend if you're looking for a snorkel excursion!

The boat driver was not very concerned about the participants comfort. Many people got sea sick. This was the first time we every had a problem in Maui on a boat.

Great cruise - crew were really nice and knowledgable. Some spectacular snorkelling. And lunch is plentiful. Recommended.
