Aloha and thank you for your review. None of our passengers our required to wear lifejackets during a whale watch, and it is very uncommon for whale watching to wear one. They are, however, always available if you would like one. Our captains and crew are trained to place the passengers in the best position to view sea life, and while observing whales, dolphins or turtles is not guaranteed, the large majority of our passengers get the opportunity for some great sea life experiences above and below the water. In fact most reviews mention great whale watching. We strive to provide stellar customer service to all our passengers and guests. While over 90% of our reviewers rate us as excellent or very good, we appreciate and value all feedback our customers choose to provide. We love taking guests out to experience Maui's amazing ocean environment and are very sorry that we did not meet and exceed your expectations. The instructions for check-in are NOT updated. We got the run around from the Malolo boat at slip 87, Boss Frog's, and the Pacific whale foundation. No one answered the phone when your call the numbers given with your reservation or the chat they provide. You need to go to the end of the pier to a boat named Calypso. Which we almost missed. The instructions were not clear at all. Once on the whale watch. We had a great time. We saw alot of whales. My only complaint would be the instructor who spoke the whole trip was saying false information about Hawaii.

Absolutely amazing. We were able to 5+ whales trying to impress a lady whale. They were putting on quite a show -- very lucky! The crew was great - the captain gave us really interesting information about whales and narrated what was occuring so we could understand what we were seeing. Drinks were good and very reasonably priced too! Great your and great value all-around.

The weather was terrible because a squall came in and all we saw was one blow at a distance. I gave a 5 because our captain and crew put our safety first, got us back to harbor safely, and offered refund or rebook. We are excited for a better weather day on our next attempt! Mahalo to Calypso crew for taking such good care of us!

We had an amazing experience on this whale watching cruise. We saw lots and lots of whales which were expertly explained by the on-board narrator. We truly could not have asked for a better experience. With everything so expensive in Hawaii this cruise was a nice change as it was quite inexpensive compared to other similar offerings. Even the drinks are moderately priced!!
