Why Travelers Choose This Tour
This comprehensive tour includes many London highlights, plus pre-booked tickets and time-saving bus transit.
Select your tour option on booking. Then, after pickup from the central London meeting point, settle into your air-conditioned coach and head for St. Paul's Cathedral, where you'll spend the morning exploring. Make a photo stop to see Westminster Abbey, where you can admire the outside of this 13th-century Gothic church, the site of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s marriage in 2011.
Continue to Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s official London residence, to see the Changing of the Guard. Watch this centuries-old ceremony as the soldiers of The Queen’s Guard, dressed in red tunics and bearskin hats, exchange places with the new guard to military music.
Move on to the Tower of London, the 11th-century fortress that looms over the Thames River. Spend some free time in the area exploring or having lunch, then meet back up with your group for a tour of the forbidding UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll around history-steeped sites such as Traitor’s Gate, inspect the gruesome torture exhibits at the Wakefield Tower, and check out the Crown Jewels – the magnificent symbols of royal power that are still used by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Board a boat for an extended sightseeing trip down the River Thames. Cruise down the river, looking out for the top London attractions such as Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe, and then step out onto dry land.
Finish your tour at London Eye or alternatively, upgrade to finish on a high note with one of two optional activities. Options include a cream tea with at Harrods restaurant or a must-do London Eye flight, for picture-perfect views over the capital. Both activities include transport to the attraction, but no transport back. Harrods cream tea includes Home-baked English Scones served with clotted cream and preserves, choice of tea from Harrods own tea gardens plus a glass of sparkling wine.
Please note: On days when the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace does not take place, you will simply enjoy a photo stop at the palace.
Tower of London
Visit Tower of London and see the famous Crown Jewels
The tour guide, Ben, was very good. He was knowledgeable and energetic. St. Pauls was beautiful and interesting. The changing of the guard was hard to see or hear after the initial guards marching to the palace. London tower was very cool, I would have liked a little more in depth history there and more free time to explore. The Thames river tour was really comfortable, and it was private. We learned a great deal about London, its buildings and its history as we rode and walked all over town.
We only had a day and a half in London and wanted to see all of the top attractions without walking in the cold or getting lost along the way. This is BY FAR the best way to see London. Our guide Anne Marie was fantastic and the bus we rode on was nice and spacious. I was also really worried that we would get antsy on a tour for that long but they really, really figured out how to hold your attention and give you the breaks when you need them. We would go to one location for a bit, get a break on the bus driving to the next location, and so on. We also really enjoyed the hour break for lunch. We had great fish and chips and a beer with a group of people on our tour (by choice) and it was one of the highlights for us. I have recommended this tour to EVERYONE because it was the best day ever for my husband and I. Also side note - we went on a Sunday which meant we missed out on entering some of the churches (which I was sure would be a bummer, and it wasn’t because we got to see so much even despite it!) I
Disappointed-Paid for St. Paul’s But Couldn’t Go Inside.
, Jan 2020
I booked the tour for 29 Dec. (a Sunday) and was excited to go. Unfortunately, after the tour started we were all informed that we would not be able to enter St. Paul’s Cathedral or Westminster Abbey because they would be holding their church services.
I understood, but strongly feel that this needs to be included in the description. Everyone on our tour specifically paid for entrance into St. Paul’s Cathedral and did not get to go inside! Additionally, none of us were informed via our travel agents or the companies we used to book the trip that this would be the case.
Also, we were promised to see the Crown Jewels, but because we didn’t arrive until after 1pm, the line was over two hours long. Our tour guide told us that if we chose to wait, we would miss our boat cruise so we would need to choose which we wanted.
I would have only given the tour one star, but the tour guide was decent and had a lot of info to share. But she was also not the best tour guide I’ve had (kept getting names and dates mixed up) and took too long to explain things...
Overall, I think I should have saved my money and gone to a pub or the Jack the Ripper tour.
Tour guide was quite knowledgeable and did an outstanding job, Made the historic sites come alive. We were only a few blocks from where the terrorist incident (stabbings) on London Bridge occurred and he did a great job of handling the delays and reroutings that resulted.
The tour was good. we paid ~$135 for package... Individually the Tower of London cost is 29.5 pounds and Thames cruise is 13 pounds...so total about $50....this means the bus and tour guide cost is ~$75...probably would have spent more for Uber and tour guide.....
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and got us good spots to view the changing of the guards....
Tour covered a lot of highlights. However the guide did not account for slower walkers and lost a few of us on the “walk” to see the changing of the guards. He did not seem overly concerned that 2 people were missing and needed to be asked forcefully to wait for the members to catch up. The guide seemed intent on keeping to his schedule and appeared “put out” when members of the group asked for a bathroom break.
There was also a little too much time spent at the Tower of London (3 hours)! The boat ride on the Thames was quick and the “cream tea” at Harrods was a little late in the day, therefore it felt rushed.
This tour was EXCELLENT. Our guide JASON was terrific - he was a wealth of information, personable and considerate of his group (so none of us got left behind). His direction got us to each point of interest at the best time and locations. We also appreciated our driver, MIKE, who maneuvered the huge bus to convenient drop off points, drove safely AND was also was well informed on the London spots. Both guides were perfect examples of London Gentlemen! We loved this day. thank you
