We had a wonderful time! The winery tour was picturesque and delicious. The guide was friendly and gave us extra time whenever we needed it!
Amazing time!

We had an amazing time with Marco! He picked us up at the port where our cruise ship came in and from the start was very friendly and informative. Our drive through the Tuscan countryside was nothing short of spectacular; great views everywhere you looked. We stopped at a small coffee shop on the way to the winery, just to get out and appreciate the views (and have an espresso, of course). When we were ready, Marco took us to the winery where we sampled about 10 different wines, their olive oils, and a small snack plate (sausage slices, bread, and a small salad). I think we were at the winery for around an hour or hour and a half, which was just about perfect; we didn't feel rushed at all. When we were ready to leave, Marco drove us to San Gimignano where he showed us around and then let us wander the town for 90 minutes or so. Then off to Volterra for the same pattern. On the way back to our cruise ship, Marco answered all of our questions about the area and we had a nice conversation. Overall, I can't recommend this highly enough. Marco was just about the best tour guide we could have asked for, the countryside was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the winery and in both towns. We'd definitely do this again!
A marvelous day, with our driver/guide

Marco our driver/guide was courteous and a good driver. We did three stop. Each of them was precious, while driving and passing some special area , we were made aware. The winery was excellent with a little tour prior the testing, the surrounding was postal card all around. The visit after of 2 UNESCO sites was priceless, Sam Gimignano and Volterra, ouch....

Sara was our tour guide and she made the entire experience wonderful. She was friendly, smart and a local to the area which only offered more insight into everything. The winery was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute.

I enjoyed the day. I would do it again and recommend it. I would have preferred to visit another winery.

This was probably our favorite tour out of 14 cities in 21 days! The wine tasting was incredible and taking us to San Gamigano was great! But the best part was our tour guide Stefania! What a lovely woman and so informative! Request her as your guide and you will not regret it! Don’t miss this tour to Tuscany as well worth the price plus some.
Best experience

I thought I might regret missing the leaning tower of pisa to do this excursion. I'm so glad We did this instead. The driver Francesco was amazing. The winery is unforgettable and Volterra is a place you must see. I would highly recommend this tour. It was so convenient being picked up from the cruise terminal also.
Great Excursion!

My husband and I took this tour when our cruise ship stopped in Livorno for the day. The weather was very windy causing our ship to be over 2 hours late docking, but our tour guide Francesco waited at the port for us and rearranged the tour so that we could enjoy each stop in a slightly different order, making sure we had lunch at an appropriate time. Francesco was incredibly knowledgable and very funny. He brought us to Volterra and San Gimignano, two beautiful mid-evil cities and a wonderful vineyard where we met many of the family members who own and work there. We enjoyed a generous tasting of 12 wines and ate 4 courses - meat and cheese, Grandmama's soup and lasagna, and biscotti for dessert. This excursion is well worth it and absolutely one of our favorite highlights from our Mediteranean cruise. Thanks, Francesco!
Gorgeous scenic tour with a wine tasting

We booked this trip for our cruise stop in Livorno, a very industrial port. Our guide Francesco was extremely knowledgeable about the region and even made a stop to show us the beautiful view from Toscana Resort Castelfalfi. After that viewing we continued on to Fattoria Poggio Alloro for our tour of the winery and tasting. Gorgeous countryside and a nice sampling of cheese and meats with our wine samples. From there we went to Volterra and San Gimignano and returned to our ship around 1730 hours. Our day started at 0830 and we spent enough time at all stops to appreciate the towns historical sights, sampling, and shopping. There were 6 on our tour and our guide was a very good driver. I would definitely recommend this tour.
