Good overview of the villages not in-depth
, Oct 2021
Got into the castle as Sintra before the masses of tourists- as we left, there were hundreds in line for entrance to the property and a long line for the castle tour. Not enough time in the village of Sintra- this tour could easily be only Sintra but drove out to the ocean and west of Lisbon to Cascias which was good for a gelato only- Obidos, Fatima were ok- a lot of driving. Saw Fatima 1 day before an anniversary so there were lots of pilgrims and tourists.

The guides on both trips were amazing. I love these small group tours, you get to know the people! I learned so much about Portugal during this tour! Don’t hesitate to go on this tour!
A Mixed Bag
, Jul 2021
Great destinations. My first day in Sintra and Cascais was thoroughly enjoyable. We didn’t have to contend with crowds. And our guide Pedro shared with us many interesting insights and information, allowing us to fully appreciate the individuals and the historical context related to Pena Palace. I enjoyed too the free time to explore the village of Sintra. Yet not enough time to take in all the village has to offer. One may want to spend the night in Sintra to visit the Moorish Castle for example or the other museums. But a day with Pedro is a full and rich day! My second day however was very disappointing due not to the worthwhile destination, but for the behavior and lack of effort and knowledge of the guide Roi. I had to tell the group, that contrary to what Roi said, the Basilica at Fatima was open. I learned more from my guidebook than I did from the guide who shared maybe one or two facts per destination. He also shared his politics and expressed his belief that the pandemic is a product of corrupt cooperations intent on manipulating all. Unlike the other tours I took throughout my time in Portugal, Roi’s drove at speeds I thought was inappropriate given that he was responsible for the safety of his passengers.
Another Tour worth the time and money!

Great tour! DO IT!

A great way to learn about and see Portugal We had two great guides as it is a two day tour. Ricardo and Joao Ferraro were very friendly and had great knowledge and insight on all our stops. The van was very comfortable and they were safe and courteous drivers. They always made sure we had a pleasant experience and were always prompt on picking us up. We use Viator all the time in Europe, and by far this has been the most pleasant and informative trip. These two guys were the best. Highly recommended! If you have the time do the two day tour do it.

Rude driver
, Nov 2019
Nothing against this company or this tour excursion but we did not have a good experience with driver/ tour guide Miguel. On day 1, we had an excellent experience with our guide Nunu who brought us to Sintra and Cascais. He was fun, laid back and polite. There’s 8 in the group and we all had fun. On day 2 our driver and guide Miguel was rigid, strict and impolite. I had never had anybody treat me like I was in elementary school being scolded by my teacher. this was the Nazare , Fatima and Obidos trip. He asked the group if we wanted to go to a candle factory for 30 min then to the Sanctuary in Fatima or spend more time in Fatima we chose the latter - half of the group (4) were Catholic and of course we were looking forward to Fatima rather than a candle factory (where he probably will get a commission ) - he was probably pissed and shortened our visit to Fatima to 60 min despite not going to candle factory. 4 of us were 8-10 min late - and I apologized to the driver and the group - I mentioned that we had to wait for the mass to be over so we can see and pray briefly to the 3 children’s tomb in front of the church since you are not allowed to go if the mass is going on - he had his company calling me asking where I am within 8 min - I’m already walking towards him by this time but my other friend was buying a rosary - I told her husband to Get her not to buy as the driver is very upset that we were 10 min late - this set a bad tone the entire time- but I tried to forget that he was rude so I can enjoy the trip ; our friends that we met the day before were also in Fatima ( with different guide and they said they were there for 90 min instead of 60) we even saw their guide bring them close to the tree where the Virgin Mary appeared to the 3 children - good thing we were listening if not we would have missed that since Miguel dropped us off in the parking lot with no direction at all we basically felt rushed! He added the town of Bathala to this trip where we saw another church — this was not what we signed up for( see title above ) He rattled off facts like he was a teacher and quizzed all his passengers like we were his students! Not my type of guide - inflexible, impolite and only wants things to go his way - maybe some people are ok with this but 4 of us were not So please request that you don’t get this guide just don’t want others to have this negative experience
Great Trip

This two day tour was amazing. We had a different guide each day and they were both professional, knowledgeable, and lots of fun. The first day visiting Cascais, Cabo da Roca, and Sintra was different from the second day when we visited Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos. Learned so much about Portugal and had a fabulous time. Highly recommend!
